At leas he'll be rested for the important games. Maybe Sterling should have similarly barely contacted one them too.

What are the feelings about tonight?  Bilic will have them set up very tight and hard to break down and they have done well away from home all season.  I think that we will find it hard to do this

but I think we should win at home.  A few early goals to settle the nerves would be great and a clean sheet at the other end but I don't know!!!

A few early goals?? Jaysus you don't ask much :)

Hard to know in these games, but I'd imagine it'll be difficult. Hopefully a win and no injuries.

Bingo

It certainly won't be as easy as that night.

I'd take a low scoring win and a clean sheet. Billic a decent manager and has them on a decent footing this year.

Like to see Sturridge and Ballotelli start, if it fits, to see if there is any partnership there.

Yes there may have been something dodgy going on that night!
Back to tonight - Lovren to come into the back 3 with Can moving to midfield, Sturridge and Mario up front.

Could see that happening with maybe Ibe in the right WB and Lallana starting behind DS and Mario with Coutinho taking a rest

Yes I think that seems likely.

Bingo

If Sterling is fit, he can take a place on the bench and give Countinho the night off altogether.

Other option would be Ibe further forward and Manquino on the RW.

No other option but anyway played well there at the weekend, brings good energy to the center with his pressing and ability to break up play plus he keeps the ball.

cadhlancian

What about lovren in that back 3 and Can in Allen's position. Joe Allen is very average

have you seen Lovern this season?

laoislad

Doesn't say much for Henderson's leadership as captain the way he was bullied so easily out of taking the peno.
Mario was the best man to take it anyway.
