West Brom look like being our biggesr challengers for the fourth champions league spot. 2-0 winners against Everton.

Not sure if serious ?

After last year finishing 8th ? Lack of goals and failure to lure any new personnel in transfer window liverpool are well down the pecking order. I think your expectations are set a little too high.

Rodgers has a rebuilding job to do and may take a few years depending on funds and patience

Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, spurs possibly all well ahead (over the course of a season )

The thing is 4th place looks wide open this season. Arsenal lost their best player by a mile. Spurs lost two of their best players and haven't looked great under AVB so far. Newcastle haven't really lost anyone but aren't any better than they were. Everton could well challenge this year but again just when they seemed to be flying they get beat by West Brom today. Seems almost negligent not to push the boat out a little more financially by FSG for an extra player or two that could mean the difference between making a push for 4th and not.

Capt Pat

I got shot down in flames for suggesting WBA would take points off other top teams after beating pool 3-0. So I just have to point out how well they are doing. Also it should be noted that other lesser teams like Stoke Norwich QPR and Swansea are beginning to make an impact in this league over the past year or two. They can no longer be taken lightly.

They can't be taken lightly by Liverpool anyway.

Papiss Cisse, Bent, Dempsey, Suarez, Adebayor and Sturridge amongst numerous others have all moved in the January transfer window. To suggest you won't get a striker worth their salt in jan is ridiculous. It doesn't have to be a big name, it could be someone who has done consistently well in first few months of season, or someone overseas who has been scouted for a while. If they want a good striker in jan they will be able to get one.

You missed Carroll and Torres on your list ;)

Downing in for Kelly maybe?

Hopefully not, he's too cowl for it!!

Evra is a liar

Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Allen, Sahin, Gerrard, Sterling, Borini, Suarez.

Jones, Carragher, Shelvey, Downing, Henderson, Kelly, Coates.

Minus15

Frustrating so far. Sloppy passing. Bench uninspiring!

Minder

Brutal so far, Gerrard has been atrocious, Diaby running the show, Sterling the only one that looks like doing anything.

GalwayBayBoy

Usual fare so far. We were slightly on top, conceded sloppy goal then hit post ourselves. Standard.

Gerrard has been awful so far this season after being England's best player at the Euros. He needs to pull the finger out.

Sahin looking like someone who needs gametime.

A 17 year old has been our most dangerous player and we have absolutely nothing on the bench attacking wise to change it.

The key for Liverpool is for Suarez to go right at the center backs one on one, he is going to score here yet if not get a penalty from the big center half.

Liverpool are playing well right up to the final ball is played in and then things are going to shite.

SG has been a non factor again and that has to worry Liverpool fans.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.
