Quote from: Armagh18 on October 28, 2025, 06:49:41 AMCan't see Clonmore doing much with only a week turnaround. Couple of handy players but not a particularly strong team.

Sarsfields- who knows with the 3 weeks gap and if the game is at home they have enoigh big awkward men to at least compete but Derry usually strong.

They don't play the Derry champions.
Winner of Derry/Antrim prelim game? Or am I reading that wrong. Likely to be Derry champions who are usually strong?

The Derry and Antrim Prelim is for senior and Intermeidate
Check my post- I was talking about Sarsfields- Armagh intermediate champions in that part

Whom you said would compete with Derry. I pointed out they don't play Derry, they play the winners of Derry /Antrim.

And Sarsfields are intermediate so he's correct. Although Glenullin have a game to win first.

Well that's exactly the point, they play the winners of Derry/Antrim prelim game.

That psycho Netanyahu blithering on about Iran et al being an existential threat to Israel.

Israel cannot survive without the support of the western powers, losing that support threatens Israel's very existence.

His insane bloodlust has contrived to lose that support amongst the populace of every country in the world. The political class, of whom the current version do not represent the mood of their electorate, will be replaced by people who do represent the feelings of the populace and Israel's goose will be well and truly cooked.

Here, I have a great idea!!

From now on only clubs that aren't good enough to win the Junior or Intermediate Club competitions should be allowed to enter the respective competition!!

Quote from: Rawhide on September 02, 2025, 10:10:04 AMFair play to Castledawson, who played every game in the senior league, 15 infact and eventually got relegated, but took it on the chin. No emails to the CCC looking to get put into next seasons intermediate league & not finishing out their league games.

Your attack on Drumsurn is funny. Did one of their ex-Derry minor players or College stars get a turn at your ex-mrs one night?
College stars? Ex- Derry minor player. I think their ex Derry minor players are about 40 at this stage and can't recall any college stars.
Lets try and keep statements half true/ realistic.

Two things Ryan. They've had a few recently  and I haven't put a time frame on my query.
I'd be interested in hearing the names of the recent ones?

Anyone with even a smidgin of interest in Derry football could name them off the top of their head, the fact you think there is none is indicative of your lack of knowledge of derry football. Stop embarassing yourself.

General discussion / Re: Man Utd Thread:

Quote from: Keyser soze on December 04, 2023, 11:34:56 AMAnyone who has had the misfortune to work in an organisation with useless leadership will immediately recognise how the onfield performances are a reflection of the organisation as a whole. Feel really sorry for the succession of managers who have come in and had to deal with that shit show.

The onfield performances will never improve consistently whilst the same incompetents remain in charge.

This is still the situation at Utd.

They have had a string of managers, some of them world class operators, blew billions on players and continue to go backwards, that wont change whilst the same people are at the top.

Quite a lot of the side to side 'shite' is already foot passing.

The Donegal players went into their shell yesterday, hence many of their big game players were not at the races.

They were making passes, runs, catches, going for breaking ball, taking shots but doing all of these things without their customary conviction, whilst the Kerry lads had absolute conviction in spades in everything they did.

I think Jim has to take a lot for the blame for that, he needed to send his players out to embrace the occasion and show what they could do, instead he misleadingly named the wrong starting team, came out late, left the parade early etc which IMO are gimmicks that a penny ante junior manager would get up to.

He looked flustered along the line as well when things were not going to plan which couldn't have helped his players.

Having said that he has done some job over the past 2 years, he maybe overthought things this time.

Don't know much about McMahon as a manager but if his efforts at punditry are any reflection of his knowledge of the game he would be hard pressed to get a club underage gig.

Quote from: highorlow on June 13, 2025, 10:19:30 AMIt would be interesting to see what would happen in Hyde if teams were level with 5 mins to go. I reckon Donegal would need to initiate the "ease off" first and play keep ball and then our lads would get the "message" to do the same. If that were to happen both teams would be in for a media slating I'd say, spirit of the game and all that bull.

I reckon it will happen for sure. It may even happen with 10 mins to go.

Hmmmmm that sounds great....until the team in possession hears the hooter......

I'm one of those too
How do you think Derry will actually line out v the Dubs
Lynch
Baker Mc Evoy Mc Gurk
CD     Paudi  Dan Higgins
    Rogers Glass
Mc Faul Cassidy Ethan
Loughlin Mc Guigan Murray

Expect Higgins to be around middle more and Mc Faul around half back. Forbes, Toner, Tommy Rogers to be making an impact off the bench.
Harsh on Toner with my line up but we need more of a scoring threat on the pitch.

Toner was one of our best players the last day, IMO we lost the game when he was taken off.

Hope Derry don't line out like that, Rogers not a good fit at CHB, CD not a midfielder, Think McFaul has too much of a tendency to slow things down when he is playing up front.
