Kerry are at the point Tyrone were about 2 years ago when changes were needed but the old guard was kept on too long, tyrone had the big underage set up and successful underage teams to replace their great players to an extent, has kerry the same playing pool??
#7368
Not about time Kerry looked for tommy walsh back, getting David moran back up to fitness and try to combine them into a new midfield combination that would be around for a number of years and try and build new team round them, kerry best players on view are still there older players but when O`shea and co retire has kerry anyone coming through at underage level to replace some of these great players, Cork not be far off the all ireland this year, only if they dont run into kerry again down the line who seem to have a knack of knocking them out 2nd time round

As far as i can see it FAI is trying to step on nobody toes even more than has happened already, alot are giving out that these players go through Ni underage set up, and catholics then jump ship once someones ability has come to the fore! i can imagine the uproar if FAI chased these players at an early age or if FAI can trawl through the pick of northern players looking to play underage for the republic, would that situation no even be worse from Ni point of view, there doesn't seen to be much giving out about Derry city playing down south when they are in northern ireland, alot of people seem to be glad they are not in the league up here with all the crowd trouble that may follow such a situation!!
Half of the France team could play for other counties, 2 brothers, boatang play for germany and Ghana, i think the problem here relates to players playing for the republic through their passort instead of relatives living down south! though to many catholics both in the north and down south would prefer an all Irish team, although u wouldn't think it with some of the abuse the northerners get at Gaelic games over the past few years, the UK partially bailing them out is hard for many to stomach and of course  once the banter starts, we don't let them forget it!! for the foreseeable future things will not change, players will still opt for the republic, NI will complain to no avail. Do you really want players who do not want to play for u, or hoping that with that option cut off they will play for Northern Ireland grudgingly! if the option was cut off i still do not think you will increase your player base!!

they be handy in an odd squatter situation with travellers that occurs on and off over here!! they get you shifted pronto.
seriously though the situation over there is so confusing!! they talk about protecting Israeli and putting up buffer zones but proceed to expand into areas which they clearly don't have  aright to. might is right seem to be their motto, abit like America really who eliminated native Americans for land, gold and greed under the pretense of progress for a civil white society!!
like over here and many parts of the world religion seems to cause so much strive!!

a tad irresponsible for issuing medals like that to u-12, even if he had previously played for the club, the parents are right to be annoyed as the child and am sure the rest of his team mates will be wondering why they got a medal with someone on it, who was he, what he do, was he a great galbally footballer? how u answer that in relation to Gaelic!its the response from the Tyrone county board is the strange one!! that the parent should have come to them first!! exactly what are they going to do about it!! the county board been limp on discipline in recent years i don't think they would act on this, even now its in the public eye! Just really another excuse to bash Gaelic from the unionist side really and we don't have much of  comeback on it really!!

G for years people slagged Sheehan when he played corner forward, i remember him and another player coming in for alot of stick after an all ireland loss one year, now Kerry can`t do without him

yeah i see Keith Gillespie giving out about McClean, sure what would Gillespie know about playing for a tainted team, when i was young and foolish and had no sense, all i wanted to do was play soccer, didn't matter who for just as long as i got a game, nearest club to me was coagh on the Derry Tyrone border, i wanted to play for them at underage, little was i to know that at that stage coagh wasn't a place for a young catholic lad to kick ball, even now am not sure if a Irish catholic has ever played for them, back in the nineties certainly not!! Gillespie never had them problems to deal with and so he doesn't really know what hes talking about!!. McClean a Derry man and since they got no problem with Derry city out of the road and playing down south i can see why they complain when anybody from Derry wants to play for the republic. Keith doesn't understand why nobody wouldn't want to put on the northern ireland jersey, suppose Keith its the part of north you live in and what you seen from a sporting view growing up, after Neil Lennon i said they be no way anybody want to play for a team with supporters like that, and guess what they don't!!!the wording of defector, asylum seeker is pretty pathetic, if it was northern ireland or nothing, you wouldn't gain any players, they would still not play for you!!growing up all i wanted to do was play soccer, it didint happen, but ended up playing years of Gaelic and a bit of rugby. Things have changed for the better though, the young lads around were i live play soccer with teams in cookstown and magherafelt, none with the team i previously mentioned, but again no body want to play for northern ireland, all would play for the republic!! about 45% of the north's population would not play for them and support that other Irish team!! Keith doesn't understand why, i don't think he ever will!!

it wont get any better, been poor now for a number of years, at least longford and wexford is decent to watch though the standard wouldn't be of the highest, ulster managers care about results and in some cases just keeping games tight, nearly all the teams in ulster play a very defensive game (negative) in search of the Anglo Celt, most know that system wouldn't work for an all ireland though donegal nearly proved different last year, Tyrone with abit more talent than the rest can afford to play more open but teams with less talent will play defensive, keep it tight to near the end of the game and try wear down / catch the opposition on the hop. its terrible as a spectator sport, terrible to watch on TV, but i cant see what can be done about it,

very poor game, all the games in ulster have been pretty poor this year, it be up to the tyrone armagh game to save the day as donegal derry the week after will make even the hardy gaa supporter cry. Down won handy enough, but when keenan was sent off  how the guy clipping mcgrath in front of the linesman not get sent off, suppose mcgrath didnt lie down!! Down last goal was well finished but took the ball straight of the ground, down probably would have won anyway but the swing at mcgrath along the sideline in front of the linesman beat me!!

think u beat us if Murphy playing or not, Derry just not going overly hot all year, i keep expecting them to click into gear come championship as they played half interested through the league games, have missed 1 game in 2yrs (Mckenna cup last yr at cavan) and i couldn't tell you what the Derry line up will be! couple of starters likely out injured, team be the same as the league i would think , though scullion will come in at corner back, other corner no idea, pity Brendan of ballinascreen/kildare is still injured, Gillis will stay in nets given the change to the square ball rule this yr, Craig likely be no.6 though i would have tried him at corner back in the league but he was injured and never tried there, and go with C Kielt at 6,midfield will be friel with either mccloskey or diver,up front , no idea, lynch be halfward, and the 2 Bradley's in the full forward, O`Boyle likely in there too, given the rule change but he wasn't on form past few Derry games, so Derry be same or there abouts, dont know whether that be enough, had we the 2 Bradley's for the ulster final last year i would have been so confident but Derry lost players and form, where as donegal have improved, the kildare game last year brought them on leaps and bounds. Donegal to win through in a low scoring game, that be terrible to watch, and know what i be at it anyway!! Just hard to know what u get with Derry on the day to tell you the truth!!
