Lads, on a somewhat related note, you'd hardly know if there's any footage available of the great teams of the 60s?

I contacted RTE & the GAA, said it would cost something like €120 for them to go through their archives and then would have to get GAA permissions as the own the copyright or something along those lines.

The auld lad those often talk about various matches and trips and no doubt he'd love to relive some of the action again!

Well lads, apologies for going off topic, but do any of ye have any interest in collecting programmes, books etc, or even know or anyone locally who does? Looking to fill in some gaps but its not too often Longford games pop up on ebay etc!

Longford Sligo game yesterday was entertaining without the quality being too high - lot of sloppy, silly mistakes from both sides, especially win terms of shooting. Longford conceded 2 soft goals but seemed more dangerous in attack. Silly sending off of the experienced Harrison was a big turning point but Longford should have been out of sight early in second half but spurned Id say 2-4 in about 5 minutes!

Overall, fairly typical division 3 fare, pernickty ref who wont be seen come summer and Longford performing pretty true to form n terms of good in attack but porous and open at the back despite having plenty of players back! Good enough to stay up and hopefully should be bale to pick up at least 1 point from last 2 games, even though away form is patchy to say the least. Heres to a good showing from the U-21s Wed night!

Great to have home advantage, surely worth a few points rather than being in Mullingar like Kildare game last year.

Don't think Longford have anything to fear whatsoever form Cork, seem to be in somewhat of a transitional phase, we have nothing to lose so  bring it on!

Maybe a home game in Mullingar to look forward to  >:(

Delighted for the lads and management, thought they'd Longforded it by conceding very  late equaliser but fair play for them pushing on again in extra time and great to see ex London captain Seamus Hannon get an important goal  ;D

So club games went ahead and no word form Denis and management since - are they really going to spite their faces and step down at this point, 10 days from the game?

Wording of the statement and interviews to media have been very defeatist in tone and downbeat, almost like getting their excuses in beforehand.

On another note, any word re the development of Carriglass or the stand? Surely a portion of the stand could be open, not as if theres going to be a capacity crowd there at any stage in near future!
