Good old Laporte he never lets you down! How can he play Marty and not Jauzion? Lost count how many times Marty knocked on against namibia. If he could have held on to the ball they won have broken the 100 point mark easily.
Probably score three tries against us now! :-\

Watched the French game on Setanta last night, Liam Toland is an excellent analyst.

Stringer is getting plenty of stick here (and rightly so!) but to my mind Ronan O'Gara has returned to his flaky worst which is a disaster for this Irish team. In the run up to the World Cup he was quoted as stating that he wanted to prove that he was the 2nd best out half in the world. Hope he forgets about such horse shit and concentrates on his game. We all know what he's capable of but it's now or never.
I think EOS has taken a leave out of England's book for the last World Cup and basically played the same team for a year or so to build up confidence, and at the moment it looks to have backfired because we look very stale.
Best has to come in for Easterby, Flannery for Best, Boss for Stringer and G Murphy for Hickey. If we had an alternative for O'Gara it would have to be looked at but we don't, so we'll have to put up with whatever he gives us.

As others have said, we wouldn't have won Sam without Geezer. Absolutely brilliant. I hope he gets involved with the new set-up, his drive and determination will be sorely missed if he doesn't. However, I'm not sure whether he will or not after the treatment of his good mate Paul Grimley.

Armagh / Re: Armagh Club football & hurling
September 14, 2007, 09:56:07 AM
Pints, I have no wish for us to have an ongoing battle , that's why I tried to have a laugh with you on the Springsteen thread.  it's the incessant use of "lies" and "liar" that I object to. If everybody on the board called people who had different "opinions" to them a liar the board would degenerate into constant slanging matches. Winsamsoon is absolutely correct, different people will have different opinions on games, it's what makes the discussion board.
Of course you're right I have never met you and I don't know you but after reading the majority of your 1683 posts I have a good picture built up in my head!!!

Pints, i joined the discussion board to discuss the sport that I love, not to get involved in a slanging match with an arrogant bully like yourself.  However, you asked me to show you where you have given fullback a tirade oif abuse, all I have to do is to refer to your last few responses. Do you think that it is normal to call a fellow gael a "poor wee pet" and for him "to clean out his ears".
We fell out over the match last summer two to three months back and on the Springsteen thread I tried to have a laugh about it but you threw my comments back and started the name calling again. You treat all people who disagree with you in a similar manner.
You have asked me what did I mean by stating that you didn't have your wits about you in Crossmaglen.  It's easy, you can't control your temper on an internet forum, I just can't see you keeping control of yourself when the whole thing kicked off that day, and you will have missed things that a NEUTRAL who couldn't give a toss about either team would have seen.
As far as I'm concerned that's the end of the matter and I suppose in your world you'll think you've "won" but I'd rather get back to discussing football (the object of the thread) and I'd say the other posters don't want to read another two or three pages of you and I arguing.
P.S. I NEVER lied!!!!

I think Keady has very poor banking also. To be fair Crossmaglen has the best facilities in the county and is the only ground fit to hold a county final.

Uladh, I think tv3 are only contracted to cover a few games(mostly the Irish games), so their hands are tied I'd say.  Setanta had been advertising the fact that they were showing ALL the matches, didn't check to see whether last night's matches were on though.

Armagh / Re: Armagh Club football & hurling

See what did I tell you fullback? When you disagree with him he will try and bully you with a tirade of abusive language. It's quite simple in pints' world, anybody that disagrees with him is a liar and anybody with a sense of humour is a knob. I bet they queue up to have a pint with him in Donnelly's or Garvey's of a Saturday night!
I'm not going to go over old ground but I'd be surprised if you had your wits about you in Crossmaglen during those disgraceful scenes, you can't even hold a reasoned debate on an internet forum without being aggressive and abusive.
I could call you a knob or a liar but I wouldn't stoop to your level.
P.S. Fullback is right, you can see f all from the bank that he's talking about, but I think the view from behind the top goals is in the nicest in the county.

Don't go there full back, you'll be called a liar. The fact that the rest of the county agrees with you will not save you from being called a liar every time he replies to your posts (even 3 or 4 months down the line!).

For the love of God man let it lie!!! I will say yet again I did not lie, we agreed at the time to agree to differ and that's the way to leave it.  I thought enough time had passed that we could have a bit of craic about it.
Spending time with you at 5 am isn't so appealing anyway you're a cranky shite at the best of times.

GAA Discussion / Re: New Armagh Manager Announced

Max, I think all sane Armagh supporters realise what's in front of us. I think we can now expect a few more retirements and more young blood coming in now. I am an optimist and I see further titles out of the new crop of talent but realisitically not for 2/3 years.  I expect us to remain competitive though, and nobody will want to draw us in the first round next year. OTB, I think it's been made clear any furore at his appointment is not anti-McDonnell.

I heard the crack was good last night in the hotel.  still the decision is made and as others have said they were two very strong candidates. We should row in behind McDonnell now.  I heard that Grimley did not leave the Cavan post because he thought he had the job but rather to place the committee under pressure to appoint him.
Surely the backroom team must include people outside of the South Armagh mafia ( Benny O'Kane maybe??)

Where did you get them pints, I queued from 4.50 am this morning at Carlin records in Newry and got the last three I think.  If you were in the queue we could have had another "chat" about the goings on in Cross last summer. Our morning would have flew in!!! The others around us might have got bored though!!!
Strong rumours that Bruce will be back to play a stadium gig next year.
