I think that question about British winners of the European Cup is well off the mark. I am an international player who scored 10 goals in my native country before being signed by a top Premiership club, but I only scored once after my arrival. I was then sold to another European club where I failed to score, although I did score for my country during this spell. I was subsequently purchased by a different Premiership club where I only scored once. I was then sold to a third English club where I failed to score. I am regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.

Any eejit with an interest in English football knows that with the click of a button you can access every scorer with the question Saffron asked on the premier league website. That's why I toyed with him. Yes, the Merse was third.

Finnan (Liverpool 2005) and O'Shea for United. Must be Keane in 99. Lawro, Whelan and Beglin(?) in 80s?
Brady in 70s?
martin o'neill must be the other northern Irish one
Actually more likely to be Heighway for 70s. Did Brady win European honours in 70s?
MON and Best for NI.
Shay Brennan & Tony Dunne for MUFC in '68
Yes I did cheat.
NI: Best, O'Neill
Ireland: 60s Shay Brennan, Tony Dunne. 70s: Heighway. 80s: Whelan, Robinson, Lawrenson.
Then I lost interest in soccer.

Surely he still won a medal?!
I think Beglin is dicey as he joined Liverpool around Heysel and unsure if he was there for 84.

The two professional teams who have played the most often at senior level without their ever being a draw between them but with both teams winning at least once played on Wednesday night who are they?
Note its not the teams that have gone the most games without a draw ever its just the two teams who hold the record at the minute.

Sorry. Two teams played each other last night for the 16th time. None of those matches has ever ended in a draw but both teams have won at least once. That is apparently the current world record for any fixture involving professional teams. Who are the two teams?

Correct. I thought TalkSport had said 15 previous meetings without a draw but they must have said that last night was there 15th meeting and no previous meeting has ended in a draw which is a world record for two professional teams when both teams have won at least once in that time.

They were stripped of their league title not the European Cup.
The answers I gave were valid but with Inter winning two years ago and Keane then playing for Celtic a few years ago there are now a few right answers.
Name the two players who have scored more than 100 Premier League goals without scoring a penalty?
which clubs has Tom Cleverley been on loan to?
Teddy Sheringham at 40 is the oldest ever scorer in the Premier League, but which five players scored at the age of 38?
Who won the first 4 england caps playing for different club teams each time?
Name the top 5 players to score the most goals with their left foot in the premier league?
name the 13 foreign players that featured on the opening weekend in 1992 of the premier league?
How did Notts County do the other night ;)
Very well. Did you watch the live stream. Made a comment on the forest thread. Was gutted, County played better and beaten by two wonder goals, mcgugan free kick was great, morgan will never get as lucky again.

An oldie.
A player who has played for 3 different clubs who have won the European Cup (not neccessarily when they were at the club).
1 each from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
Keane, McInally,Hughes and Owen were the 4 I had in mind.
For bonus points name a Portugese,Italian, Swede (at least 2)and Dutchman (at least 2) who have done the same. Can't think of a French or Spanish player.
Ireland - Cas - Celtic, Villa & Marseille
Scotland - Alan McInally - Munich, Celtic & Villa
Wales - Huges - Bayern, Utd & Barca
Marseille were stripped of their title? Keane - Forest, Celtic, United.
England Ince - United, Inter, Laiverpool?

Too late at night to start thinking about some of these but
1) Scholes and Andy Cole (don't remember him taking one before)
3) Les Ferdinand, Richard Gough, Stuart Pearce,Alexander (Burnley)
4) Le Tissier, Giggs, Ferdinand, Fowler, Unsworth?
Cleverly has been on loan to Wigan and Watford i think.

Was thinking of Van Der Sar for one of the Dutch and Christian Vieri for the Italian ( who must have whored himself round 10 clubs in Europe).
Quotename the 13 foreign players that featured on the opening weekend in 1992 of the premier league?
Names of that era.
Thorsvedt, Nayim and Bergsson of Spurs.
Cantona of United.
John Jensen of Arsenal.
Molby, Grobelaar of Liverpool.
Peter Ndlovu might have been on the go. Roy Wegerle too. There was another American of that vintage who player full-back and midfield for Sheffield Weds, but can't remember his name.
Johnny Metgod might still have been around.

Jensen, Bosnich, Grobelaar, Rosenthal, Kanchelskis, Schmeichel, Molby, Cantona, Yorke. Done after that.
That's the boy Heffo.
There was a big feature on him when Weds made the cup final in either 92 or 93. I'd be pretty sure he played in the opening season.

Wasn't there a Hans Segers who played in goal for Wimbledon?
He was reportedly involved in the match fixing with Brucie
Wasn't Robert Warzycha at Everton? Polish I think. Scored in 3-0 win at Old Trafford on 2nd game of season (those were the days).
Was this too soon for Erland Johnson and Jakob Kjeldberg?
Think Johnson is definately one. Kharine was there or abouts too. Frank Sinclair?

It went viral before it emerged that they had made it up and was no correct answer.
