Who plays soccer for Irish league clubs is nothing to do with Tyrone club football and should not be discussed on this thread. It is not fair on the players.

heard he done his chances of an Irish call up no harm at all at the weekend with two goals against Augher with Irish managers in waiting Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane in attendance.

doesn't one of their star forwards play for Linfield as well? probably reason enough not to like them  ;)

seriously though, they are being quite stupid doing this carry on to these teams especially when they have to go and visit the same teams next year.

Seriously? Who? Unbelievable if true

Whats unbelievable about it? James Mc gahon does/did for their reserves, what is the big deal. Sure doesn't Clonoe have a few play Irish league soccer. They get paid for it, whats wrong with that ?

sarcasim

take it your on about James Mc Gahon?plays for linfield

Anyone when these play off games are fixed for and why there are two more weeks of Div 3 fixture?
Because there are 17 teams in Division 3, necessitating 17 rounds of games to be played (with each team getting a bye in one round) as opposed to 15 rounds in divisions 1 & 2.

Will the D2 relegation playoff take place this weekend? If so they will have to wait four weeks before meeting the D3 playoff winner.

What happened Fintona at the weekend v Owen Roes?- Too many men at the Country Jam?

Nothing happened them. Best team won. Fintona needed a last minute goal to beat us last year as well, so that negates 'the fluke' factor.

We've been playing like this most of the year, but lacked a bit of luck here and there. I think that's 4 wins in our last 5 games now or something.

For Fintona they will be under pressure now to keep their home advantage in the play off as they still have Newtown to play, who are on form at the minute.

I think Fintona and Newtown play this weekend with the winner basically getting home advantage against the other in the playoff.

I wouldn't say that either Derrytresk or Rock would be unbeatable for the D3 team.

I would. Div 3 generally have 2 above average sides that are i wouldnt say world class but strong enough to get out of the league then the rest of the sides all be on an even par bar a few at the bottom.
what gives the div 2 sides a strong advantage is every game even if your getting beat in div2 the games are at a much higher intensity and you learn to adapt to limited time on the ball.id take the div 2 side 99 times out of 100 in them play off games.plus div 2 side who they meet generally up there game 10% thinking f**k were bound to beat these boys.

GT Moane will save Fermanagh football.  A great manager with a good record.  Big football man, very enthusiastic, a Fermanagh man through and through.  If you cut Gerry Moane he would bleed green.  He wont bleed the county dry of funds maybe like Banty would have.  Will take no guff and will have the players in good shape.

Ryan McCluskeys tweet last night a bit of a disgrace, at his age and experience, you think he would have a bit of wit.

I don't think hes got the respect of the players for one and when you dont have that you've got feck all really. Fermanagh are on the wane.probably back in the mantle as the weakest side in Ulster again a high profile successor to Canavan would have done them no harm at all. All i can see coming from an appointment is a similar situation as a few years ago with a good few players announcing their inter county retirement as a result.

The whole thing is a mess.

they've released a statement that nobody has been rectified as boss yet and that its only speculation.
Poorly done in my opinion. believe there in outrageous debt that's the stumbling block and the new manager in question is the cheapest option available with the limited resources they have.

Brookborough man Gerry Moane set to be installed as Fermanagh manager?

Teams throwing points and teams going looking points is farcial IMO

Why bother playing and training all year to fix games at the end of the season  ::)

If your not good enough to stay up,tought shit.
The three points for a victory thing could be beneficial in combating this.

Is club football in Tyrone very defensive these days like how the county play or is it more attack minded?

I would love to see us revert back to a more attack minded team who don't always play with a sweeper. I am bored to tears watching us slowly playing the ball up from the back and rarely kick passing any long balls into our FF line as it has no support behind it as everyone is back defending.

I don't think Grugan is the required standard to be honest. McCann is probably a better prospect simply because he is more of a grafter. I think Tyrone could do a lot worse than look at Dawyne Quinn and Ruairi Loughran on Sundays evidence. PJ Lavery has been a free man this past 2 championship games so the jury is out on him.

Define Grafter and confirm who you are referring to?

Good shout tommo.

i was confused and the only man i can think of is Tiernan mcCann Killyclogher.
Big year for Coney hes still living on the promise of his minor days he needs to get himself alot fitter.
going by the fixtures we've been dealt in the national league that we will be down round the bottom rather than competing at the top IMO

The trials will be very interesting this year. Wonder will Ray Mulgrew, Tommy McGuigan or Colly Doris get another chance at it? The same applies to Niall McKenna although obviously he's a fair bit younger.
In terms of the younger talent coming through id agree with most of the names mentioned previously and add Tommy Canavan & Niall Sludden (if over injury)
Daniel McNulty would offer the full forward line something totally different from RON, skeet & McCurry & should definitely be considered.
Would Harry Og Conlan be in consideration at all? Havnt seen nor heard much of him since this past 12months but looked promising as a youngster.
Conan Grugan looked the part in 2012 club championship, but injuries etc seem to have taken him back a step. Looking from the outside, being part of the county panel seemed to be a hindrance in terms of getting games & getting back up to previous level.
Dean McNally from Kildress is one I thought had the potential to be a real sticky man marker & initially made the cut last year. Worth another look imho.
Kyle Coney is the great enigma. Could be a contender for player of the year in 2014, or might not kick a ball.
Either way Mickey has a lot to ponder & some big calls to make this side of Christmas.

Think Dean McNally suffered horrific injury last season i doubt if h available.
