12.45 pm  - Donaghmore v Kildress
2.30 pm - Carrickmore v Clonoe

Would rather these games at a different pitch. Dungannons playing surface is woeful.

What pitch (with the right spectator facilities) is going to be good in November?
Dunmoyle?

Dunmoyle a good venue. Much better than Dungannon.

Pomeroy would be best in my opinion - pretty close to them all (and better venue than Dgn)

Pomeroy best for what exactly?? A dump of a ground with third world facilities. No place for a game where the wind has an impact all year round

Dump of a ground is a bit harsh, yes their changing rooms are awful but I believe they have plans for new facilities. In my opinion it's the second best ground in tyrone after Healy park. County board obviously agree as a club championship semi final is held there every year.

Owen Roes beat Glenelly, then Tattyreagh who had previously beaten Castlederg. This saga could run and run due to appeals after the mess at the bottom of Div 2

How long is this likely to last - Poor form from the Rock - they would need to put up a serious challenge when ever they play to save face if nothing else. Are they still training?

They've sacked thon clown from ballinderry. Ciaran gourley has been taking training. A new man at the helm usually has a positive effect on teams and results. Don't rule the rock out just yet as this break may have enabled them to get a few bodies back on board.

You have to hand it to both Clonoe and Carmen,  both knocked out of the championship in May and now sitting in a League Final.  It really does reflect the drive that these players have.  Kildress is a similar boat - out of the championship at 1st round stage and still in the division one play off in November.

I had been thinking something similar last week, 3 of the 4 league semi-finalists went out in the first round.

The fact that Pomeroy get a semi final may be due to the super half time draw they put on when they get a match

Money gathered from a half time draw goes directly to the club hosting the game not the county board!

Best venue considering the geographic location of all 4 teams involved on Sunday. Pomeroys changing rooms are poor, but on a par with Dungannons. Where Pomeroy is better (in my opinion anyway) is the playing surface. I  take your point about wind all the same.

I would say Carrickmore is best venue in the county for championship matches.

Knock Yer Mucker In

Agree with Carrickmore being a the best club championship venue, top quality pitch, spectator facilities, now they need to get better changing rooms, but no doubt they will get that sorted, they are that type of club. Omagh's pitch is good also, spectator facilities top notch, changing rooms are unequalled, but what sets Carrickmore apart is if you put 6,000 in Carrickmore the place is bouncing, in Omagh its a blib.

Would agree with you about carrickmore. The changing rooms may not be the best about, but they are grand and there always seems to be a real 'championship feel' about the place when you play there.

Why then would the county board choose a club to host a championship match on the basis of how successful their half time draw is. How successful a half time draw is of no benefit to the county board and wouldn't even come into their thinking when choosing a venue. They have four changing rooms therefore I cant understand why teams would have to change on stairs/handball alleys? Granted the changing rooms are small but no smaller than that of Dungannon or Carrickmore. I agree with previous posters, Carrickmore does generate a great atmosphere when full to capacity.
