Well - that would be downright murder, and I think thats kinda clear. Most (serious) cases of assisted suicide, especially those performed in hospitals and clinics like the one in switzerland and oregon would not fall into that category.

If you feed someone some pills. Tell everyone that they necked them themselves but that you handed them the pills.
That is murder. That could (wrongly) be called assisted suicide.

'Wrongly' being the key word. That's no different to making a death look like an accident.

I'm definitely going to annoy pints but I think I would consider it if I had a serious degenerative disease and thought I would be a burden on my family.  For my sake and theres.  Probably a slight bit of Catholic faith/paranoia that I might burn in hell would be the biggest thing that would stop me.

the Catholic Church has actually made an about turn on people who commit suicide - so don't let that stop you
