I also had the tape deck
Had it for years. Saying it worked is pushing it a bit. The amount of times I waited 20/30 mins to load a game only for it to fcuk up at the end was unreal.
How the computer didnt get fcuked out the window I'll never know :D

My first one from around 1990 is still working, a 286s  40mb hard drive and 1MB memory running windows 3.0
an extra 1mb of memory cost a fortune then.
It's survived 2 power surges which burned out every other plugged in device.
I have a specific program on it that also  cost a fortune then, that I still need which can't be transferred to another machine, the software company has gone through about 10 changes of ownership.
The 14" screen went kaput but I found a more modern flatlike 15" screen in a skip the next day.

just to join the pissing contest
an MSDOS operated 8086 with a single 5 1/4 inch disk 512k memory monochrome no sound card cost nearly a grand. wordstar was the wordprocessor worked a 10 time MS word does now. also a prototype  windows called GEM a night manre to work woth the single Drive

and yes its still working but itsa bitch to get software for :-)
