Anyone else up for exploring the possibility of a trip to Italy for the away match with the Italians? I know its a while away. Hope they play it in Rome or Milan and not some outpost in Sicily or somewhere.

I've heard the Ireland game will almost definitely be in either Rome or Milan (I've been told Rome) as they are expecting the largest amount of away supporters at that one.

As far as I know, the Italian FA have made no indication where the venue will be. The FAI are lobbying for Rome.

huge game this one imo, if we can beat cyprus by a few goals we'll really have turned a corner. if not all traps good work will be for nothing. stephen reid is a big loss but hopefully we can pull it off. cyprus have a team in the champions league which is more then we've ever achieved and by all accounts should have beaten georgia (missed a peno) not too mention drawn with italy! lets hope it goes right tomorrow night....

when in need of a piss you can't just get the lad out and piss where you are sitting/standing you must use a public toilet

I went to a game earlier in the year in Croke park and swore I would never go back(soccer that is). The atmosphere was cat bad and the game was boring as hell. Now it was an end of season game but the highlight was the opposition guy lifting the ball and squeezing it as it was soft and Captain Robbie going ballistic at him. I think it was Slovenia or someone like that, so your ticket with cue is safe!

Woulda been Serbia. Atmosphere at Croke Park has been poor enough so far. Suppose its too many people with only a vague interest. Also suffers from he fact that most soccer fans in Ireland don't go live matches every week and don't have the same culture of live support.

Atmosphere has been poor due to the fact that there has been precious little to get excited about, and that has been the case since the Mc Carthy days. An up and at em show with a couple of goals would soon change all that.

Live soccer matches RLL. Completely different atmosphere at GAA or rugby.
