Legend.  I've been trying to place him this past few weeks...thought he was the double of somebody.....even though Im sitting reading Levon Helms book and Richards Manuels pictures are all over it I just couldn't place it.

Its a good book by Levon, even though he goes a bit over the top in blaming everything on Robbie Robertson, in my opinion. If you're ever over in NY, you should try to get to one of the Midnight Ramble shows he does in his barn up in Woodstock. He tends to do a few shows in Manhattan around Paddy's Day as well. Top stuff.

Drummer in our band saw Levon playing at Newport during the summer.  Said he mightn't have too many gigs left in him.  His voice is nearly gone after his throat cancer.  He said it was heartbreaking watching the gig because his daughter had to keep taking on the vocals because Levon couldn't sing.  She ended up crying on stage.

Have you got his new album J70?  Its class.

Well a young Jerry Adams or a hunger striker.I just think that its more of the beard thing that is throwing me off.

If Tyrone manage to defend the title next year (team of the decade and all that) then why not carve
something like this to remember the heroism of the bearded warriors.
