I get that he's been out there slogging for 18 years or so and might be mentally over it all but saying he's not fit for 3 weeks in a row at 37 is a mental thing. Hopefully he scratches his head in the off season.

Is this accurate?

Last two tournaments, big fielders, 3rd and joint 4th.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Small fields. 50 and 30. You can just tell by watching him he's disinterested at best, distracted at worst.

These were his own words

"I think once you start to lose your enthusiasm to go to the course, it's time to take a break," the 37-year-old Northern Irishman said while at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. "... Look, I've turned up to events that I haven't necessarily wanted to be there because I feel like I should be there, and I've never... like if I'm going to show up to a tournament, I want to perform at my best and play my best, and there's been times when I haven't done that.

I agree I think he's lost a bit of the mentality from the Masters win last year... he kind of sleepwalked the Masters this year without being spectacular nobody really stepped up to take it from him. It was much less of a rollercoaster than 2025.

I think even the Masters win this year meant he wasn't top of his game for the other majors.

Hopefully he'll come back focussed next year for all the majors. I think the move to a matchplay format for the Tour Championship will help as well in 2028.

QuoteTiger Woods had his driver's license suspended five years Wednesday after striking a plea deal in his DUI case.

Woods pleaded no contest to reckless driving and refusal to submit to a lawful test in Martin County circuit court in Florida. The golf legend initially was charged with driving under the influence after his rollover crash earlier this year.

the best thing that could ever happen to him

Lowry turning it on today at Doonbeg. 11 under after 12 holes - 8 under for today. Course looks short and relatively easy once you hit the fairway. Wind yesterday offered some defence but today is calm.

Shocker from McIlroy at the 18th with a three putt. His mistakes seem very strange for an elite sportsman.

Probably not looking forward to meeting Trump
