Callum Brown for one was a big loss. Really stood out at underage level for Derry.

Don't think that's accurate, was he not a sub on that team who Clifford beat in 2017, definitely came on a lot the next year and impressed for the u20's, but not the standout of those panels?
That's not to say he wouldn't be a massive game changer for Derry now!

He was among the stand out players for Derry In the matches I recall watching including U17 semi final in 2017 when he made a big impact when introduced at half time against Dublin.  2018 U20 semi final another I recall, lost to Mayo by a few points but he was among Derry's best players on the day.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

The strong rumours on Kobe McDonald has proved true with his move to the AFL confirmed by Maurice Brosnan in the Irish Examiner today.  Big loss for Mayo.

From the Bunker

The onus is on Mayo clubs and County board to sort out lads like this. Make it a hard decision for the lad to leave financially.

Rossfan

Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

The finances on offer in AFL would surpass anything a County board could get.

That was down to a baffling tactical decision from the manager. He came on at half time and nearly turned the game but it was too much to do. Had he played the whole game it would've been a lot closer as Kerry couldn't handle him.

You will never match AFL salaries and the lifestyle on offer.

It's a ludicrous suggestion. Ringmahon and Liverpool play the same sport administered by the same people. The analogy is if Kelleher ditched soccer to play professional golf and the PGA paid his schoolboy club.

The AFL will say no after a laughing fit. Why would they pay another sport, especially an amateur one with no contacts, for players.

I understand banging out a weekly column is tough, but come on Pat
