I don't rate American football, the usual fare in Croker gets on with it and less of the faffing about.

I'm sure he gets just as annoyed at GAA holding exhibition games to America to raise money for county boards.
totally different.

I wouldn't be an nfl fan but I watched it out of curiosity today and really enjoyed it. Croke pk looked magnificent.
I'd much prefer our own national finals back in the Sept dates than this but I've no issue with it. Although it was dissapointing there were no cheerleaders to entertain.

Watched  a few  minutes of build up. And a few  minutes of first quarter. Out of Curiosity  as well.

all that  player introductions with smoke machine etc  is a pain in the hole. God forbid that  shite takes on  in soccer

Anyway , I couldn't believe how stop-start it was. All line up,  restart, someone is tackled, and about 4 seconds  played. Then a load of backslapping, high fives and chest bumps, Followed by a huddle. Then they  line up again,  restart, tackle,  another 6 seconds played before clock is  stopped again.  You wouldn't need to  have a train or bus booked! Or a B&B, the door would be  locked before you got back!

left it  on in another room , came in about ten minutes later , and about 40 seconds had  been played . Christ almighty, what a  palaver!

U never watch a game of American Football before??

Love when these things happen, everyone rushes to tell everyone how much they hate it, or how they never watch it etc. Todays game was class, only downside is I couldnt justify what would have been 400/500 odd quid to watch a team I don't support. Had the cowboys been playing I would have probably paid it.

A whole game? Are  you mad?  ;D

No,never. That was  the most i ever watched before. Watched about 10 minutes of it. Well, about 25 seconds , if you  just count  actual playing time.  That ten minutes  was a struggle.how anyone sits through  a whole game , I'll never  know.

You probably spent longer than that telling everyone here that you don't like it.

Love hearing about how boring and stop start it is from dullards that haven't a clue how the game is played.

The fact is every one of those snaps you could analyse for ten mins each when you go through if its a pass play, pass option, rushing play. What's happening in the back field, line of scrimmage, secondary. Who blocked who? Are they blitzing, what routes are being run, what coverage is there. Same folk are probably reminiscing of the good old days of crab football.

Soccers main aim is to follow in the nfl footsteps. You complain about how long it takes. Look at soccer now. 4 minutes average hold up for a VAR decision . Cant celebrate a goal incase it's not a goal. Call game back for a suspected handball. Add 9 mins on to the end of normal time.
Soccer already there.
Sky have nmbeen trying to turn it into panto since 1993.
