Big Cyclops ok, pigs no good?

All of that stuff ffs.
I hate to break it to you Jim, but it is based on a fictional work.

Mourne Red

Seen the new Spider-Man last night, really enjoyed it - Tracking for 2.5-2.7billion theatrical run. Some going.

Quote from: Capt Pat on August 06, 2026, 08:01:20 PMI saw the Oddysey and it is the best of Christopher Nolans movies imho. The three hours flew by.

It's not a patch on Oppenheimer or Inception.

Neither of those are a patch on Interstellar.

Interstellar was far better the second time I seen it, Oppenheimer I enjoyed and love the Inception concept, I've the Oddysey I need to see at the cinema, trying to get a sucker to go with me is the problem, me and the kids watched Spiderman the other night, can't beat a bitta Marvel and seeing the new ones coming out in December Doomsday and also looking forward to the final instalment of Dune

I wouldn't let that stop you. I used to go to the cinema by myself when I was single. Was a good way to put away a Sunday night.

You'll have to take that up with Homer. Greek mythology is full of shape-shifting like that.

I happened to read The Odyssey about a year ago (I'm on a bit of a classics thing at the minute) so I was interested in seeing this adaptation of it. I thought it was fairly close to the source material and well put together. I just have my usual gripe about cinemas these days, which is you have to bring earplugs. Dunno what it's like in Ireland, but in the States you'd end up with hearing loss if you went to the pictures often enough without some ear protection.

I've never liked that sort of stuff but can let the odd thing slide. It just got a bit silly for my liking. I was thinking it was going to be more like Troy that had Brad Pitt in it. It took out a lot of the fantasy Greek mythology stuff out of the storyline.

Was there not enough dragons, fighting, riding, motorbikes or explosions?

And you think this would have been a good thing? Troy is awful.
