Wicklow have been thrown out, very unfair on the clubs involved  >:(
Hardly piss up brewery springs to mind ,they had 3 months
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Gnevin if you don't know the facts perhaps you shouldn't comment. Their championship was delayed because in the St.Patrick's v Shillelagh game the referee recorded the scores wrong and the Wiicklow championship was delayed by 5 weeks while this was resolved. So why should Baltinglas or Rathnew be punished, I mean it's bloody 5 months to the All-Ireland club final, it's not as if we have a full calendar...

In 1985 Longford Slashers were nominated to enter the Club Champ cos our county final went to two replays (Mostrim v Ardagh). It's not unusual but I don't hear too much whingeing from the Wiklas. Could a club not have been nominated or perhaps that was scrapped.

So they lost 5 weeks which by me leaves 7 weeks to play these games the Dublin champions was delayed by 2 month due to the Vaughan thing and was still finished on time .

Why indanameajaysus did it take 5 weeks to count the scores right ffs - I've sympathy for the players, but if the clubs allow/instigate this sorta shite then they (clubs) get exactly what they deserve.
My hands are stained with thistle milk ...

Correct, done away with a few years ago so as counties were forced to at least get their championship finished in a timely manor. It has worked well, in that counties have by in large cleaned their act up, now it tends to be just league matches that they can't get finished in the same calendar year  ::)

Don't get me wrong, I have sympathy for the wicklow county champions, but it is important that this is a rule that is adhered to in order to try and keep the fixtures committees on their toes.

This 5 weeks to sort out the scoring issue is mad. Why can't we sort out disputes/disciplinary issues in days rather than weeks or even months.

Pity on the Wickla players. A nominated team should be going forward to the provincial championship.

No they shouldn't

Louth Exile - I'd rather some representation than no representation from the county.

In any event this shouldn't have to be the case because of a five week fannying about because of a score dispute.

Kerry are being represented this year by the last surviving club team from the county championship as both finalists are divisional teams.

The shower down there couldn't organise a piss up in a bewry. The Leinster fixtures were sent out in January yet they can't finish their championship on time!! How many senior clubs have they FFS? When did Wicklow go out of the County SFC?

A ref gets the score wrong and it takes 5 weeks to sort out? Tough.

Get a new county secretary and maybe yous will get your SFC over in time next year. The Leinster game was put back TWICE FFS!

Well you know the way these appeals can drag on and on, neither of the clubs in the final are responsible for it so you'd have to feel a little bit sorry for them, dunno why they couldnt play extra time the other day. Either way having to play two days later is a bit of a joke.

It's the onus of each County Board to have their championships run in a timely fashion - other counties cannot be expected to sit around waiting for Wickla to get their house in order, whatever the reasons.

tayto

The county board are at fault now doubt, but still have sympathy for the players from both clubs, they're missing out on one of the perks of being champions.

They were already given one postponement. It's only right that the competition goes on without them.

They should have factored in extra time for last Sundays game.
