Seeing a list that long is just another reminder that our festival of football has become a festival of greed, with football providing the window dressing.

I see FIFA has this week banned anyone from bringing water bottles into any stadium. They're citing player safety from missiles as their reason.

Saudi, Qatar, Russia, USA and FIFA, they're all in it together, determined to f**k everybody and everything in pursuit of another billion.

Hard to argue with that. The 16 extra teams and extra round dilutes the product and leads to saturation - that said, it's amazing for the likes of cape Verde and curacao to get their to the big stage!
Re the water situation, it's similar to most stadia to some degree and the same rationale is always applied. That said, I see more and more venues are now providing free refill facilities as part of their sustainability credentials. You'd hope (but suspect they don't) that venues have will have such facilities.

Got lost once trying to find Aghadergs pitch and ended up in Scarva.. I don't think I'd be too welcome there that night 😂

Have zero excitement in the build-up to this. I'm sure I'll watch all of the business end of it but there is some dross to get through before that. We'll also have to look at Infantino snuggling up to Trump for a few weeks.  >:(

Inter fans throwing the moped in the San Siri 25 years ago would be hard to top.
