Who  the feck is  Quansah anyway ? Who does he  play for?

Leverkusen. Liverpool sold him last year to them.

How the hell did he manage to do that?

Slipped jumping over the advertising hoarding. He was also booked during the game despite playing 0 minutes.
It was a game where anything that could have happened, happened.

Who'll do the  quizzes now?

That's crazy.

I was struggling to stay  awake after about 20 minutes  . Once the second goal went in , I went to bed.

I have an awful feeling  they're going to win it  now.

First game I watched, sort of by accident as I had other business to sort out and be up for

Quote from: An Watcher on July 05, 2026, 10:43:30 AMOn the back of this, can someone explain to me how FIFA have never brought in bookings retrospectively for diving?  I know there are grey areas but blatant ones should be dealt with afterwards.
Where does that stop? Retrospective hand balls?

At some point the referee has to be let referee. If he decides something isn't a booking then it isn't.

Can retrospective red cards be issued?
For extreme things the ref missed like violent conduct, but there has to be a formal appeal. And the ref had to have missed it

Had anyone heard of FIFA randomly reviewing red cards

FIFA corrupt as f^&k. Would love to see Belgium pull the pin from playing US.

Waiting for the infantino speech
"Today I feel American"

Had them down to beat the belgians but now they'll be pumped for this

That's what the US and Trump would want!

I hope it focuses Belgium and the best answer to Infantino is to beat them on the pitch.

Belgium have a right to appeal apparently. Have to say if it's not reinstated, then soccer can forget about it and do one.

Quote from: Hoof Hearted on July 06, 2026, 07:07:48 AMAny team with haaland has a great chance, but I suppose so does any team with Kane.

England could easily have both as their strike force had English born Haaland chose to play with them instead of Norway.

England are as good as what is left in the competition.  Big confidence they'll get by jumping over all hurdles in that banana skin last night.

Workrate and togetherness on display in that game you don't normally see from a England team Bellingham for one put in some shift.

Worryingly there hasn't been much in recent France or Argentina performances to suggest that England would struggle against them (should they get past Norway). Maybe Spain are coming good at the right time!

Jesus lads France had one bad show against a team that weren't there to play football. Don't panic until I say so 😜

Ps pretty sure Olise eligible for England too. Haaland and Olise would have been decent additions tbh

I didn't see anything  special about Norway. Very average. Haaland  could grab a few goals though . But  I think England will  beat them.

Its up to the Argies now.

Credit where it's due to England, they got 2 good goals and the penalty and had the players to batten down the hatches when Mexico threw everything at them.
Big Dan Burn was in his element, heading and hoofing anything that came near him.

Interesting after game interview with Bellingham when he said that the current team didn't crumble like past England teams at tournaments, queue back to the Studio with Kellie in her off the shoulder number asking Rooney about that comment, and he took it in great humour, saying that they didn't turn up at the 2010 World cup to even get the chance to crumble.

England will probably beat Norway, but the Norwegians were comfortable enough against a dung(a) Brazilian team and with Haaland, they've a chance.

England will come undone against a France or Spain who have wingers of pace and skill as their fullbacks are makeshift at best and not great in general.

Hendo's arm break was bad looking...

Maybe so , but they won't face France or Spain until  the final. You don't want them anywhere near the final.. anything can happen in a  one off match. Penalty, sending off, flukey goal. You could t enjoy the  final with those  backstards in it. Hoping Haaland or Messi  sends them packing.
