Delighted for Mayo. The young Mayo players had no fear and got stuck in from the start. Delighted. Kerry wouldn't begrudge them this one after all the heart break

Lot of teams will feel encouraged.

This Kerry team is not a patch on the 2000s version, nor Tyrone of the same vintage, nor Dublin of the 2010s.

I heard Jarleth Burns say something similar in his speech.

I'm not sure it is a matter of begrudging or otherwise, but I think its easy for a neutral, or somebody with no skin in the game to take that view. I doubt too many Kerry men will be too effusive over it.

Look-Up!

Congratulations Mayo. Absolutely INSANE work-rate throughout. Took some poor decisions at crucial times which left them not cantering home by 7 or 8 points, and I thought their goose was cooked with Clifford 2 pointer effort at the end, but it all added to the drama. And it was incredible drama!

A final to be rewatched again by the neutrals. Can only imagine how many times it will be relived out west.

Just a word on Jack O'Connor. A class act.

Hopefully certain elements among  the Mayos will have a bit more class than normal on their way through Co Roscommon tomorrow.

Hopefully you're not too put out.
Class indeed  ::)

Glad Jarlath decided not to grandstand on mayo's greatest day! 🙄

Congratulations Mayo and the Mayo posters on here. Well deserved and a long time coming.

G O Sullivan lol

Absolute tosser. Good to see him on the losing side today. Well done Mayo had a good feeling about them all week but that was some performance. The hunger and doggedness from their forward line in the press was unbelievable Kerry couldn't live with it. Can't wait to watch it back incredible scenes for them, well deserved after years of knocking on the door

Too early to break it down but do yourselves a favour and listen to this...would bring a tear to a stone...Martin Carney making noises only dogs could hear he's that high pitched and emotional.

Congrats to Mayo will live long in the memory. Be very very few in the country will begrudge them that today. Great scenes all round 🤝

Tommy Conroy nailing the last score *chefs kiss* delighted for him. Nice for the old guard

The stats breakdown will be fascinating. Kerry just looked to David.

Why did Jack put on Burns and start Tom? Hes gonna get crucified as is the norm but weird enough calls.

Think only dogs could hear him at the end 🤣

Class stuff

Hope O'Donoghue gets footballer of the year, Clifford a class act obviously but O'Donoghue does the dirty work far better while still stepping up with the big scores- the difference today was attitude and workrate, no better example than those two, Clifford is one lazy fecker

Congrats to all the Mayo lads on here. Great to see and fully deserved!
