Strange game yesterday. Injuries to 5 starting (according to Geezer post match) players on Tuesday might explain the disjointed approach. Very slick moving forward but below par at midfield and very poor defensively. I think Forker's organisation is badly missed but I'm not sure he will ever be in a position to return.

A similar performance next week will make it unlikely that Armagh would beat whoever comes through the other semi.

The only thing that gives me some solace is the suggestion from Geezer after the match that they were trying new tactics after they made the game safe (similar to how they played in Division 2 in 2024) so that might explain a little of the glaring problems late on yesterday.

Was the new tactics to give the Fermanagh full forward as much space and time as he wanted

1-12 doesn't hit the same when you were down 15+ points for all of it

An odd game.  Fermanagh composure in the first half was dreadful, the gulf in difference between the two teams was in how they were executing their shots.  Armagh were patient, whereas Fermanagh were snatching their shots. 

From an Armagh perspective there was game time for returning players and we escaped without injuries, so all positive in that front. 

The only negative is that they couldn't close down those two point attempts, as outrageous as some of them were.  A potential chink in their defense others might expose more. 

The two point rule definitely helps the highlight reels, some super scores.  McGurn and McQillans standing out as the best.

Game was played with 0 intensity after about 25 minutes, next week will tell the tale. McMullens 2 pointer was class as well. Actually thought Ross was trying to lob the keeper when he was going for it

Cahair O'Kane said he walked past him before the game without any sign of injury. Would that be possible with an ACL?
