Three derbies means there will be draws this weekend, possibly as much due to even-upper refs as anything else!

Derry v Tyrone - Tyrone by 2
Cavan v Meath - Don't ask me why, or where I got this newfound faith in Cavan, but I think this will be one of the draws
Louth v Cork - Cork by 3+, with the usual health warnings on "enigmatic" Cork
Kildare v Offaly - Draw

Derry v Tyrone - Tryone by 2 I think that Kildare match will waken them up
Cavan v Meath - Meath by 6 Derby and all Meath should have too much
Louth v Cork - Louth by 3 Honestly depending on what Cork show up...
Kildare v Offaly - Kildare by 4+ Newbridhe is proving a difference for us

If we get to Monday with Offaly and Cavan on zero points I'd be happy from a Kildare standpoint. Offaly at home and Cavan away are must wins in reality to stay up.
Derry, like Tyrone game, is a free hit and then we should have lads back from injury by the time Meath come to town. That will show us how we are really fixed.

them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

I suppose if you are to win your first league or championship game in 13 attempts then doing it against Tyrone is best.

Meath should get promoted. Let's hope for footballs sake that they do. Watching Conor Glass repeatedly jogging a few yards sideways then handpassing to a teammate during the Meath game only highlighted how pointless the Derry style of play is. What was the point of Glass being on the field at all?

Derry's style of play created more scoring opportunities than Meath's (24 shots to 21). Does that mean it is more effective and attacking or pointless? Whilst stats can be used selectively to support most arguments, the point of keeping the ball is self evident.

Attacking at speed yes but not labouring and endless slow recycling of the ball. Here's a stat for you: Derry got relegated playing that rubbish. Stats are a great thing when people are getting get well paid for producing them in county setups. Useless all the same. Armagh  won one all Ireland They were great at keeping the ball. Galway won none. They were great at keeping possession too. With excellent players on both teams what would they have one if only their managers had  allowed the players hem to kick more the ball more?

Fun stat: Meath haven't won in Breffini since the 60's.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016
