Quote from: mackers on March 14, 2026, 11:06:13 PMWhat did Jarly Og Burns do to deserve the black card? After watching the incident back and he's standing to one side and one of the Dublin players barged into him on his way off the field? He's then set upon by about four Dublin players. Strange decision.

Great second half performance.
Let's hope TSG go forensic on it 2nite and / or Gough  explains himself, looked clear as day Scully was the aggressor.

Allegedly he abused the ref in the tunnel
OK. That would make sense. He's a good ref but seems to have an ego and likes to be the centre of attention. He was all over the place last night though. Jarly Og gets a black for that but McKay got body checked off the ball and another Armagh player was rugby tackled and no card for either offence.

Again I severely doubt Burns said anything to referee. To add to my above post I am nearly certain the referees used the Cusack Stand changing rooms. When did Burns get the opportunity to abuse him? Too often in big games this referee gets involved in controversy - not just involving Armagh. We ask the referees to be consistent. Last night for both teams he refereed the advantage rule differently than every other referee. Again how is this good for the game.

Looking at the game
Htf did Dublin throw that away, they were cruising, I know Armagh had chances but jeez when Armagh went down to 14 and Dublin pooped over the score after half time the game was there to be managed out .
Leinster will be savage this year as Louth and Meath will sense blood
For Armagh I will say we are 3/4 players short , Kerry next Sunday could be a cracker but if Kerry bring their A game there is only one winner

APM

Really important win for Armagh and the manner of it very encouraging. There was a real defiance about Conaty's goal - fair play all of them.

People talking about how relegation would not necessarily be a concern, but realistically Division 2 next year could contain:
Westmeath
Down
Cavan
Tyrone
Louth
Derry
Armagh
Monaghan

Potentially six Ulster teams. Talk about a dogfight to get out of and to stay in with a resurgent Down among it. The huge prize is avoiding that quagmire.

BTW: if it works out that way - can anyone tell us the last time there was only one Ulster team in Division 1?

I think the officials were over for the handbags were they not? Anyway, what I've been told he said - and the person who told me caveated by saying that's what she was told by someone on that side of the pitch - makes no sense whatsoever.

Cunny Funt

Sean O'Shea,Dylan Geaney,David  Clifford  scored 2-23 out of Kerry's 2-29 yesterday and at no stage did Mayo offer up much defensively to stop that trio.  At the other end just 13 scores from 33 shots on goal.

In highsight was better to continue the cameos off the bench for Kobe than starting him against the All-Ireland champions on their home patch.

Good comeback win for Armagh, once a team gets momentum under these new rules it's nearly impossible to stop.  I think that win could be enough to keep Armagh up and relegate Dublin, the Dubs performance and win in Hyde Park was a bit of a false dawn, they are a side in transition and probably All-Ireland quarter-finalists at best this summer for the 3rd year in a row.

Orior

As Armagh closed the gap on Dublin the latter needed to stop Armagh's momentum so a Dub (sorry can't remember his name) started hauling TK. The ref fell for it completely - TK should never have been sent off.

A good chance for Galway to boost score difference against Monaghan. Monaghan will be in Divison 2 next year for certain.

Theyre all shite bar Tyrone- we'll stay up though

gallsman

Good to see all your hubris last year taught you some valuable lessons.

Donegal keeper touched the ball on the ground, outside the  small square

Surely a penalty?

Edit- so did the  Roscommon keeper

Should have been a free to Roscommon, not a penalty though I don't think

Wildweasel74

Def lifted it off the ground!

Wildweasel74

That last play, Hows the ref reckon thats a foul, Donegal man leaning on the Roscommon boy, stopping him getting up, and he didnt touch the ball on the ground.

moonster

The Rossies are safe now. Donegal look like a team trying to avoid a league final.

J70

Some wind advantage at the Hyde.

Eleven points is a massive lead for Donegal to haul back though. They need to get their press right for the second half to force Roscommon long.
