Japan are decent from what I've watched
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Both Italy and Denmark didn't make it through.

Czechia mustn't be a bad team after all, but Ireland will be kicking themselves going 2-0 up and blowing it.

Captain Scarlet

It was a werid one last night in that I honestly thought Denmark were too good for us, but if we had gone through and looking at them last night I fancied it.

Happy enough for Czechia in fairness and they earned it! Plus, a lot of the Danes might step away and we can move on to having another bogey team.

Our game was fairly lacklustre but interesting to see who is floating and coming through.

By the start of the next campiagn we will have Parrott and Ferguson as options up top. Noonan and Melia will also be getting more senior game time.

For midfield Lawal is a big man who seems tidy enough and could step into the 6 role. I liked the looked of Vale's set pieces and he seems tidy overall.

Unusually for us we have Manning and Scales on the left but I do worry now about the right unless Ogbene is pushed back to RWB? Festy is very prone to give away the ball.

On to the next one!
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

Michael O'Neills team against Italy needed a striker, had they had one they would have been through to the next round, Italy were dire and that result last night is not actually a surprise

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Please tell me only one team gets out of each group!

There'll be a load of dead rubbers otherwise.

GTP

All 12 group winners and 12 second-place teams advance, but also the eight best third-place teams. It is going to be a long tedious group phase, not many games you would care about as a neutral in any of the groups.

Time enough watching a few games at the 1/4 finals then, anything up to that point will be shíte.

Far too much guff in it with the new format. Italy are better than 80% of the teams there.
There are several worse teams than Ireland.
UEFA have been shafted.

Lads it's not about the 48 best teams in the world or else we'd just go off the FIFA rankings, it's the WORLD Cup so needs representation from across the globe, Ireland and Italy have only themselves to blame for not being there.

Brilliant to see tiny countries like Cape Verde getting their chance

Italy failed to qualify. Three timers running. Nothing to do with UEFA

Will have good Irish support, Pico Lopes is from Crumlin.

I believe Anang off Pats is Ghanas backup keeper, 2 LoI players going.

Looking forward to  the Uzbekistan v Doctor Congo  match. Sure to be a sell  out

Apparently they are looking at a 64  team tournament for 2034.  Not sure if that will succeed , but  there's no going back to 32 or less , now we've got  a 48 team tournament .

We might just manage qualification for that one.
