Rightly or wrongly, a national paper deals with national events and not local ones. The GAA have left a vacuum of national events to talk about. What they should have done was offset the season for LGFA and Camogie to a greater extent and then they would get more coverage as a result.

An obvious one at the start is to outline the formats in the different Counties.

That's half a page, minimum. I don't think that's a credible thing to expect from a national paper.

Again, it would be better than the yapping. Theres GAA being played all over the country, just because its not on tv doesnt mean its not happening.

That's a terrible plan

We are very lucky in Laois as we have the Laois Today website which covers pretty much every club game going in the county. They also do live blogs from most matches and a podcast as well. It is a subscription service but is really worth it. Don't know if there is anything similar in other counties.

Same here. Never buy it. If I want GAA coverage I buy the Irish News.
The indo and times are rugger papers.
the Irish Times has great GAA coverage and writers.

There are lots of sports played all over the country. Doesn't mean it's national press worthy.

Yeah there are a plethora of amateur sports that have a big Club following that never get mentioned on a national paper.
Anyone who thinks there should be, has a major sense of entitlement.

Just buy or subscribe to the local papers - their coverage will be more concise.

And again- it would be a better read than Breheny yapping.

Probably. And it says something about the Indo that the Irish Times GAA coverage is far superior. But it's quite silly to think they will report on every Intermediate club game. That's what the local press is for.

Whos calling for them to do that? The odd one would be possible

Duine Eile and Rossfan.

There may be a market for a pullout like the Star do (did?) for junior soccer, but it simply isn't feasible to justify match reports for junior club games in the nationals.

Rossfan

No one's calling for that.
Even the feckin Ros Herald only gives a summary of the Junior A Championship games.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.
