Should I be forced to take a vaccine? No.

Should I not be allowed to travel on shared transport or go to a shared space without a vaccine? Yes.

Being forced to do something against my will, I find that unacceptable, but with that decision comes implications and if those implications means I can't do things due to a lack of a vaccine then that's on me if it's for the greater public health need.

George Orwell published Nineteen Eighty-Four in 1949. It seems that many are forgetting the warning signals in that book of creeping totalitarianism and the importance of protecting individual rights and freedoms.

I think most sensible western people realize and accept that living in a society brings individual rights and freedoms, but also responsibilities towards others in that shared society. It's been that way their entire lives. Including oh-so-oppressive vaccine requirements.

The very premise of this thread was pushing things to the extremes. It's a proposal to update pretty basic public health outbreak policies, but you'd swear it was Hitler and the Gestapo massing at the border to round everyone up and clear the ghettos.

Increasing obesity, autism, adhd, asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, arthritis etc etc. very little legislation to start tackling root cause of this stuff apart from introducing more costly drugs to temper symptoms and keep you just a little less sick. I wish I had forseen the invention of the pill caddy/organiser back in the day.
Doctors only care about the system, not you the patient, a fact demonstrated by them being one of the largest professional cohorts in the Nazi party back in the day.
