IFC - Moortown having won it 2021 look red hot favourites to win it.Moy probably the next best, but county players carrying knocks.
League champions gortin knocked out first round by Owen Roes (dark horses).

JFC - looking like Aghaloo or Drumquin/Killeeshil (who play each other) only possible candidates.

We are at QF stages of both.
Moortown red hot favourites? Moy, Greencastle and Derrylaughan will have plenty to say about that.

Cavan Junior and Intermediate Quarter Finals this weekend.

Junior
Knockbride v Munterconnacht
Redhills v Swanlinbar
Shannon Gaels v Belturbet
Drumalee v Kill

Knockbride should make light work of the Munchies; 3 remaining games are very competitive but I reckon Redhils, Belturbet and Drumalee should have enough.

Intermediate
Arva v Bailieborough
Butlersbridge v Cornafean
Denn v Shercock
Cuchullains v Cootehill

All Ireland Junior Champions Arva like a steam train at the moment and are probably favourites for intermediate along with Butlerbridge at present; Expect Arva and the Bridge to come through their games with Denn and Cuchullains to join them but wouldnt be surprised to see Cootehill pull it off either.

I'm going by the bookies odds but I do believe they have beaten all those teams by at least 5pts this season. But championship always springs a surprise.

Arva - the finest bluffers in the country. 4 from 4 in intermediate and a 1/8 shot to win the quarter final on Saturday. After cosplaying as a junior outfit last year. Fair play to them if you can get away with it

Get away with what? They were Junior on merit up to last year, hence intermediate this year. Are teams not allowed to get better or something? Is every club All Ireland winner cosplaying?

Yes, not again. Yet it comes up every few months as some cannot comprehend that a bad team can go good again with new and returning players and they can win Championships when they dropped to a low at Junior. An alien concept to some

Wait until you hear that they have rested half their team throughout the group stages and have 4 county or former county men to add to their side for the knockouts.

Ah no just joking Arva are a credit; after a couple of years of being hit hard with emigration and injuries it looks like they are getting the most out of themselves again.

People don't realise how small a club they are hemmed in-between the Leitrim and Longford border.

Would Arva be a good shout for the 2025 Cavan SFC?

Won't be too far away.

Have you gerrymandered any senior teams into intermediate in Armagh this year or was the Cullyhanna experiment just a once off?

Cullyhanna got relegated in 2022 on merit. They played in the second tier of league football in Armagh this year, and finished 2 points above the relegation spot back to intermediate. They're a decent side and are 12/1 for the senior championship. There's no Division 1 clubs in Armagh entering the Junior championship though.

They got relegated off the back of 2 poor years, rightly so. They then got the finger out, got boys back from injury/travelling/ opting out and got a couple of younger lads greatly improved and had a super year. Pearse Og this year are favourites who would be in a similar boat with having a few poor years but have got their act together however  not as strong as Cullyhanna were.

St Pauls probably second favourites who have lost something like 3 finals in 4 or 5 years. Wouldn't back either to do much in Ulster tbh.

Arva winning Junior All-Ireland last year.

Then strong favourites for Cavan Intermediate this year.

Quelle surprise!  >:(

This sounds exactly like what happened Arva.

I'm only winding of course but that's a Carbon copy of what happened Arva to be fair.

Perfect storm of getting players back and some young players who are better than most expected them to be.

Can only get promoted one division at a time despite what most would lead you to believe on here.
