AFAIK the voting took place before the Liverpool debacle

Considering the whole season and not just the last few weeks I think Vidic is a cert..

I'd say it's nailed on.
Owen Roe O'Neills GAC, Leckpatrick, Tyrone

Yeah, the voting wasn't long after the Chelsea game and Giggs had played very well in that game and a few around that time. The PFA awards are the same every year becasue of when they are voted for. If he gets it fair play - there have been more undeserving winners over the years.

I'd just like to officially note that the clock on the Stretford End can now officially move forward another year. A bit later this year than usual.

Fergie on a rant, he's cracking up!

Sir Alex Ferguson has had a Rafa-like moan at Rafa Benitez, accusing the Liverpool boss of treating Sam Allardyce 'with contempt'.

Benitez and Allardyce have shared a long-running feud that dates back to the Blackburn manager's spell as Bolton boss.

However, the Spaniard's reaction to Fernando Torres' second goal in last weekend's 4-0 win, a gesture that seemed to signal 'game over', has prompted angry reactions from both Allardyce and Ferguson. (For Allardyce's rant, click here)

Speaking ahead of an FA Cup semi-final with Everton, Ferguson lost focus – much like Benitez did in his January rant – accusing the Liverpool boss of a lack of respect towards Allardyce.

"Arrogance is one thing. But you cannot forgive contempt, which is what he showed Sam Allardyce last weekend," Ferguson told Friday's press conference.

"When Liverpool scored their second goal he signalled as if the game was finished. I do not think Sam deserved that.

"Sam has worked so hard for the LMA (League Managers' Association) and he's had a weakened team. I just thought it showed contempt.

"In my experience no Liverpool manager has ever done that. It was beyond the pale."

As United try to prevent Liverpool chopping any further into their title lead, Ferguson also dragged up a previous spat between Benitez and Everton as he touched on a further example of Benitez 'arrogance'.

"Everton are a big club, not a small one which Benitez arrogantly said," added the United boss.

Is there any other way to treat Allardyce than with "contempt" ?
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

Rafa really is a bit of an embarrasment to Liverpool. I bet the true fans wish he would just get on with the job of managing the team :-\

Interesting...
Slur Alex has a rant at Rafa on the weekend of a FA Cup semi final against a team Rafa has no connections with yet you somehow think Rafa is somehow to blame?

I think Alex explained it better than I could.. Does not really bother me too much as he will get no silverware yet again so will probably get even more grunpy and upset ;D

Did you read the article?

I await United fans admitting he has lost the plot ala Rafa at the turn of the year.
