Apparently negotiations are still going on re Berbatov, but there is a rumour that United have cooled on the prospect of buying Berbatov.

Ronaldo back in Manchester tomorrow and will again request a transfer.

Utd want rid of Saha, as hes fucked in the head, most of the time he is "injured" he is physically fit to play, but isnt up to it mentally, and he hasnt been since he bottled it against celtic at park head.
Keane wants him at Sunderland apparently.

Doesn't sound like Keane's kind of player but then he does fit into the "has played for Uinted or is Irish" category.

Sneijder is going to be out for about 3 months, about half a long as previously expected. Reckon if he had of been out for any longer they would have made a big big push for Ronaldo.

MANCHESTER UNITED will try and convince Cristiano Ronaldo to stay one more season — by promising to then let him go for £65million.
SunSport understands United's owners are considering giving the Real Madrid target a contract get-out clause.

But they will first have to sway boss Alex Ferguson who is dead against selling the Portugal winger.

A United insider said: "Sir Alex is determined he will not let Ronaldo go now, if only on principle.

But there are one or two people at United who are thinking 'What's the point of hanging on to him?' when Real are ready to offer so much money.

"And Ronaldo will miss the start of the season in any case through injury.

"One solution being looked at is for Ronaldo to stay one more season, with the guarantee he can go for an agreed fee at the end of next season."

Boss Fergie has categorically refused to sell Ronaldo, who has made it clear he wants a move.

And there is no certainty the Scot will accept a compromise.

Ramon Calderon has dropped a huge hint that he has accepted defeat in Real Madrid's pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo, by stating his belief Rafael van der Vaart could be their only signing of the summer.

Madrid's president was introducing the Dutchman to the crowd of fans who had gathered inside the Bernabeu, when he revealed this would likely be the only major presentation in the Spanish capital this month.

Manchester United have said that they do not expect the Portuguese star to leave them and now Calderon has publicly stated that he also thinks this is the case.

"Van der Vaart is the first signing and probably the only one," said Calderon.

Madrid have made no secret of their desire to sign Ronaldo but while the Spanish press continue to speculate over his future on a daily basis, it would appear his chances of moving to Spain are shortening by the day.

United are loath to lose their prize asset and while it has been suggested they may contemplate a deal next summer, Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant he will have the player at his disposal this season.

Real Madrids carry on has been fairly scummy in all of this. I know all soccer clubs tap potential players up but I don't think anyone holds a candle to Real for being completely shameless.

I'm fairly sure Ronaldo will stay and have a good season once he gets over his injury.

As for signings - United have no money. If they get money for Haha then there might be one signing in the offing though I am glad talk of Berbatov has silenced. Not sure about him.
