They are lining up to rule themselves out. Its not easy to attract the top managers who are usually well settled in the big jobs. Van Gal probably the best bet at this stage. Ancelloti would be a great appointment.
That's just, like your opinion man.

When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Shrewdness

Southampton have stated that NO DEAL has been agreed with United for Luke Shaw. United have also been linked with Adam Lallana, but Southampton say, that as far as they are concerned, neither player will be leaving St Mary's this summer. That means that the recent story about a 30m fee plus 100 grand a week were rubbish. That may well also be the case over the fee that was supposed to have been agreed for William Carvalho. There hasn't been a word about him since. In the coming weeks and months, there will be countless rumours about United transfer targets. About 10 per cent of it will be authentic, the other 90 per cent will be shite. The tricky part will be trying to distinguish between the 10pc and the 90pc.

You need to wait for the photo with the scarf and the jersey.

I reckon Van Gaal had the job before Moyes was gone and they're just trying to make it look otherwise.

Yip. Giggs appointment fits this as well.

Van Gaal probably wanted commitment and I am sure he has given some form of commitment in return.

Well they are hardly going to admit either player was leaving with 4 games of the season left. See what happens at the end of the season. Likwise with Carvalho

Shrewdness

Southampton didn't have to admit anything. They could have just kept quiet, with 4 games to go.

No they could just say something but it doesn't mean it will happen. Staying quiet would only increase the speculation that they were going

A title winner with four teams in three countries and a champions league winner. Sounds about right for Manchester United. Looking forward to the transfer window now and returning to winning ways next season.  8)

It's not just the manager and players, he has to rebuild a backroom team.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

I expect the class of 92 will be involved in his back room team. The next 4 games could be Giggs' trial for the number 2 job. Both Van Gaal and Giggs are big into an attacking game so I would not be surprised if he got the job. I hope this means Utd will be exciting to watch again as they were rank this season even in the games they won.

Patrick Kluivert to be number 2.. ?

He is no slam dunk to succeed and wouldn't have been Man Utds number 1 choice if others were available. Sacked from his last club job at Bayern. He will certainly be an upgrade over Moyes, that's for sure.
