its a lot more than 25% down to Fergies skills as a manager i think

having said that though, its not broadcasted as much as other clubs how much United have spent down through the years

This info is easily obtained

http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/1992-to-2011.html

Probably a bit lopsided due to Chelsea/Citys recent spending but shows Uniteds success down to way more than money..

Without info on wages, you're really only getting half the picture here.

A good point that usually isn't addressed when these "look how much they spent" arguments crop up. It's the players sitting scratching themselves on huge salaries with no resale value that wreck teams, not the actual outlay.

At the end of the day alot of teams are spending huge amounts these days, and alot of the money being spent has no correlation between these teams recent achievement on the pitch.  United didn't buy the Premier League in 1993, but since then they have used their success on the field to generate more money (through sponsorship, prizemoney, merchandising etc) which they have rightfully spent on new players among other things, a sort of natural progression.  When you see the figures that have been spent over the years and you see the amounts the Liverpools, Chelseas and Citys have spent then it is clear that these clubs are simply trying to buy success.  The fat Spanish waiter spent some serious money in his time at Anfield with little to show for it.
A Champions league????

A fortunate win in the Champions League and an FA Cup is hardly alot considering the money he spent in his 6 years at Liverpool.  Fergie spent less and won far more in the same period.

Most of the money Rafa spent was after he won the Champion's League.

I'm starting to believe that this actually did happen. Evra seems determined. :o

Its pretty clear by Evra's reaction during the game that he was wound up after he and Suarez clashed in the box, You can also see clearly that Suarez is saying something to him...But there is no way Suarez can he charged as there isn't enough evidence that anything actually happened....I can't stand Suarez there is no bigger cheat in the game than him he's a compete kn**ker, even the Liverpool fans didn't want him before he came to them but of coarse now he's there  God, but you can't really accuse him of being a racist without any evidence

No harm but i fail to see where you get this from. On the forums I would look at, the vast majority wanted him signed, if anyone didn't want him it was for footballing reasons.

Well here's one for starters..http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2010/12/luis-suarez-10-reasons-why-lfc-should.html Also some Liverpool fans i know were saying the same

sammymaguire

I think it's fair to say neither player would be footballing angels. Plenty of form and controversy with both of them. Hard to say what the outcome might be but it could be a total shitter for the guy who loses this one!!  :o

Firstly your link didn't work, secondly when i did get a look - its a blog site that I never heard of before. The writer seems to be some foreign fan who likes to say stuff for a reaction. He didn't want Suarez but from a quick look at the comments below, the majority did.

I know plenty of liverpool fans and everyone wanted him. End of.

I can't think of a Liverpool fan that didn't want Suarez to sign.
