Whole Derry management is with loughmacrory so they'd hardly be taking majority of champ games!!

They just need to read this thread to sort the tactics and players for 2027. Start naming a few more defenders to fill out the squad.

In fairness there were some big games in Tyrone Championship last Sunday and Meenagh was in Owenbeg most of the day.

Who is there to see at Derry Championship?

Be great to see in my opinion. After there arrogance regarding previous relegation playoffs. Big clubs aren't entitled to play senior championship would be better for the county if a smaller club stayed up maybe making Ballinascreen get there arse in gear.

What arrogance are you referring to? You had two chances at spelling "their" correctly and you f**ked it both times.

Maybe a year at IFC would do wonders for Screen. Look at the example of Newbridge, Glen, Lavey who have all dropped down to Intermediate in the last 10yrs. Would help there chances going forward.

They only have to look at the hurlers in their own club. Screen won the JHC two years ago and in the IHC semi this weekend.

I don't think using Derry's hurling competition is a good example to use.

But, in reality, Screen, at senior level, should be a lot better for the amount of good teams they've had coming through at underage. Sometimes, they have 3 teams.

They're a club that should get the committee to put a 10 year plan in place - a road map of where they want to be in ten years and how they get there.

They just seem to go from one year to the next without any plan - well, it's like a lot of clubs, a one year plan. Then move on to the next year. Rinse and repeat.

GTP

Lavey got relegated to Division 2 by Screen in a play off they did not play intermediate championship.
Playing a year of intermediate championship may help a young team develop but only if you win the thing and get back to senior.

MajorShields26

Derry Senior championship needs big clubs like Ballinascreen competing. We shouldn't allow big clubs with pedigree to go down. It's also unfair on the smaller intermediate clubs.

Wildweasel74

What pedigree? I won a championship 53yrs ago? Hell Ballerin got more Pedigree and got to a All-Ireland club final. Its that attitude, of we too big to go down, the size of the place, would be 3 seperate clubs in other counties.
