Er, it was Slaughtneil with the high hits, roughing up from what i saw. Once about 3 of those tackles werent yellow carded, things were going to roughen up.

that's what I thought, high and around the face.

Swatragh were very wasteful.
In a game where nobody really stood out I thought he was up there with pick of them in first half.
Take the two Derry starters out of it I thought Mc Williams was above the rest.

Not for me. Had little impact on the game in my opinion. Swatragh limited enough and without the goal, the game was over at half-time. Was expecting a bit more from them but maybe a derby brings it down a level or two.


Like a lot of teams, high in energy and running about but not much quality in attack. As I said, they only scored 7pts overall in 64 mins and a few of them were frees and 45m frees.


If you want a player who's 'above the rest' he'd need to be hitting 6pts from play. Maybe I caught him on a different day, it'd be a different story. 


Teams getting geared up for Championship now. Not many league games left so hopefully everybody will be injury free in the next few weeks.

No. They were limited. Scored about 1-3 in total over 64 mins or so. That's limited in my book.


Again, alright saying they had plenty of frees but not converting them. Had, maybe, three free takers and not much success in my opinion. That's limited.


I thought SN were in total control of the game. Never needed to get out of second gear.

Thats the leagues done.  Ballerin back up into Div 2, they're doing good work at underage there. Maybe short on numbers but good players moving up through age groups.

I see Coleraine into a playoff to get back into Div 1 to play I think Faughanvale going by today and yesterdays results.

Screen and Kilrea survive, how hard is it to prepare for Championship after a poor league or is it all irrelevant at this stage.

And Slaughtneil league champions, a strong enough marker for a club missing alot of key players throughout the league with their county reps.

Felt like a more keenly contested league this year, any matches I was at felt like they had more riding on them

Kilrea vs Newbridge as stand alone fixture on Friday is a fair strange one. It'll hardly inspire the neutral I would think. Surely Bellaghy, Slaughtneil, Glen, Swatragh, Lavey could have hosted that.

Bellaghy vs Dungiven 12 on Sunday, sure it has the potential to be a good game. Two teams not too far apart quality wise, neutral crowd will be small now that Slaughtneil and Magherafelt are last fixture the same day.
