He marked McElholm against Tyrone!

Really well also. The Louth result was hopefully a blip for us. Win against Cavan and hopefully Tyrone will do us a favour by beating Cork. Tyrone need the win to ensure they play in the Sam Maguire and not the tailteann cup. The last day will be very interesting as all teams bar offaly have something to play for.
Tyrone gave Meath a fair rattle so I'm hopeful they'll get something there, although I think with Brennan leaving and Morgan not starting there's something going on there.

I thought Mc Kinless was good defender, improved at man marking but that we pop tackle in behind the elbow, himself and Niall Loughlin are as good as we have at that.

Its only a blip, Derry were two gears back from were they were against Offaly and Cork and still would have won the game had Mc Guigan scored that penalty. There keeper had a good day when on normal day we would have had 2/3 goals.

Louth have a system that works for them and they are on crest of a wave but its a tough watch, we know all about it. Don't tackle more than 5 yards outside the 2 point arch, slow attacks. That works in Ardee.

That tube Wooly is posting on Twitter saying there's trouble in the Tyrone camp. I think Cork will edge it.

I've grown to like Wooly. He asks questions in interviews and on podcasts with players that most of the mainstream media avoid. He asks the uncomfortable questions. He is who he is and doesn't try to change, and is comfortable knowing he's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.

Na, he's a tube

Who's captain this year?

HonDerry

Strong team, Monaghan will have plenty of motivation for this game after the Minor Ulster final and All Ireland final.

Oisin Doherty with no second thoughts on returning, good 2 point threat which is abit of a shame

Real Talk

Agree with those who are not overelly conserned about us not getting promoted this year.  Div 2 is the best place for giving young players a chance to develop and help to build a strong squad.

McKinlless's greatest strength is his reading of the game, good man to snap up ball among a group of players and then breaks  at pace with his head up and can take a score or give a clever pass... remember he got an Al-Star

Like to see Mathew Downey get more game time

That is a very good U20 squad

Managent wouldn't need to underestimate Cavan

Newbridge Exile

By my counting there would be 6 changes from the corresponding team that won  that year's minors with  Oisin stepping away Luke Grant and Janes Sargent not fully fit and on bench which leaves Finbar Murray Jack McCloy and odhran Campbell being the other three changes ,( Murray and McCloy on the bench , I think someone had said earlier Campbell is at college in the states )

Thought Matthew Downey has been good every time he's played

There were 2 Campbells on the minor team. One from Steelstown, the other from Magherafelt who is a kicker at college football in the states.

This will be a tough test, and in a couple of weeks, they will play Donegal who have a raft of players on their senior squad including 2 starters - Roarty and McCahill. On the other side of the draw, current champions Tyrone will be very strong.
