Take a note from the FA cup - open draw.

I think most people are bored with this current format.

Sin bin
ice hockey has independent time management
Rugby has zero lip to the ref
Soccer has extra time for drawn big matches
Rugby has the TV link to the ref
Many sports have pitch invasions
No other sport would employ Ger Canning

Most of these are used in Ladies football.

Ger Canning being the notable exception.

He could be used as a corner flag?

The GAA could implement something similar to the drive though penalties from F1 and get lads who commit certain misdemeanours to complete laps of the field as punishment while the game continues?

Parish rule and amateur status for soccer.

The best move would be to make Soccer in Ireland Amateur! Based on the Gaelic model. It's gas to think how in debt and how run down most Soccer clubs are and them paying players. I believe most would still play for the love of the game and the loss of talent would actually be minimal?

Brilliant!

4 laps of the pitch instead of a Black Card or a Sin Bin. And an extra lap if you cut a corner. So you'd get back on, but you wouldn't get a nice rest like you do in a Sin Bin.
It'd be an especially good punishment if there was a melee involving 5 or 6 lads, and they were all made go for a run to cop themselves on!

Back on topic;

From Hurling soccer could learn how to deal with diving and faking injuries, i.e just play on around the medical team on the pitch, won't take long for the hoors to get up then!
in all fairness, I think Rugby also allow on the medics whilst the game is going on!

Gaelic football could do with a smaller ball and sticks to make it more watchable

Only problem bar about 8 counties, nobody would be any good at it. And Connacht and Ulster would have less than 5% participation!
