I wouldn't be his biggest fan either Denn but Jean Genie is a tune and a half. Brilliant version here.

Legendary rock singer David Bowie, who died at the weekend, was included in the votes of sympathy read out by vice-chairman Peter O'Halloran at the end of Monday night's meeting of the Meath County Board.

The announcement of "the Bowie family in London on the death of David" was met with laughter in the room – but anger from the top table.

The people complaining have little to preoccupy their minds.

Cat People (Putting out Fire). Brought back into the limelight by Tarantino a few years back - but I think it is one of his best. Had it on repeat this week, still not sick of it.

Its between "Cat People" and "Sorrow" for me.

Nobody going for "The Laughing Gnome"?

Your favourite?

For me Life on Mars: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v--IqqusnNQ

I think that is the best of a great set.

Life on Mars would be mine as well, but I will put up another one:

I have to say, I actually don't know 1 song of David Bowie. If someone started singing one I might know it to hear it, but I wouldn't know it is Bowie. Actually the only song I know by him is the Little Drummer Boy duet with Bing Crosby :)

Starman from Top of the Pops 1972.  I must have missed Space Oddity, this is my first memory of Bowie.  Great song to play on the acoustic guitar  - honourable mention of bass player Trevor Bolder's sideburns/hair.
