Ger Gilroy had his last show with OTB today. It has gone downhill the last few years and a lot have left. The subscription model wasn't popular.

There seems to be controversy about his move. RTE are broke, axing all sorts, not doing kids tv at all anymore and so on, but have a big salary for a failing sports podcaster to do something that RTE don't need to do with a guy who has spent years shitting on RTE.

I read the book last week too. It would break your heart that whole story.

She is some individual- you couldn't but warm to her.

Haven't finished it yet but near had me in tears at a few points. She seems such a nice likeable person and it's awful what her and her family have gone through and have to face going forward.

No one comes close to Joe Molloy in this sphere. Havent listened to OTB in ages. The new presenters are absolutely brutal. Quinlan on the rugby. Give me a break!

Not sure he'd agree with you there, bit unfair. But....this Spring /Summer I listened to every GAA Pod going, they're entertaining but christ they're stealing a living. There's more insight on here a lot of the time. So, I think McGeeney is safer believing in himself than listening to spoofers! The good thing about him is he discovered this when he was young.

I think he's great btw. And has done a great job with that Armagh group. No one else in Armagh would have kept that group together. Very few players step away which is testament to him as well. But I always laugh when I hear him in interviews though as he never concedes in any point. Even when he's wrong. The players will tell you that too.
One thing I always think he's being unfair about is the claim that county players don't train hard.

He must have different definitions of hard as I've heard a few tales of Armagh sessions that made me throw up even thinking about it!
