Hopefully the finer details will be looked at and won't be insurmountable.

Some of the costlier things:
How much of UK' £3 trillion national debt will be passed off to Dublin. Per head of population, around €100 billion on top the €200 billion already servicing.

North's annual fiscal deficit is a problem. Dublin has a surplus every year but if corporate tax went south, Dublin would have a deficit too.

Motability scheme - would Dublin keeping covering the 50,000 and also then have to extend to those in 26 counties.

Healthcare - is the proposed Slainte Care going to go down same sorry road as NHS.

Ara feck it, just get on with it. An island of 7 million people is easily sustainable between agri-food, tourism, and all the FDI that comes to Ireland because it's a safe country, highly educated, access to EU, speaks clearer English than the English (Conor Haughey notwithstanding).

Since Ireland has lower interest rates than the UK, currently 1.8% lower, they should do something on the debt. Someone can work out the mechanics, but offering Irish Euro debt for an appropriate amount of UK sterling debt would do the job. This would save London more than it costs Dublin.

So play hard ball on pensions etc, but do make a deal on debt.
