Truth hurts

Quote from: downtothecore on April 16, 2025, 10:15:26 PMWE have been awful at minor and u20 grades for sometime except for Lavery's teams at u20 level which were competitive and successful. It's not all the players fault...

Where does the fault lie?

Ed Hardy

Ronan Burns, Paddy McCarthy, Peter Fegan, Ceilum Doherty, Ryan McGill, Pierce Laverty, Micéal Rooney, Daniel Guinness, Ryan McEvoy, Danny McGill, Odhrán Murdock, Eugene Branagan, James Guinness, Pat Havern, Conor McCrickard

Subs: John O'Hare, Ruairi McCormick, Aaron McClements, Donal Scullion, Shay Millar, Adam Crimmins, Finn McElroy, Caolan Mooney, Gareth McKibben, Patrick Brooks, John McGeough

Wow!
Highs & lows & highs again second half!

Plenty to work on but a win is great!

Will be plenty of questions for the management to sort amongst themselves over next few days.

Sheedy

For 20 minutes in the second half we couldn't get a hand on the ball, Fermanagh had a run on us and there looked only one winner.
Daniel Guinness and Odhran Murdock really drove the team on in the last 10.

What a roller coaster. I still can't believe Down won thst game. All sparked by Daniel Guinness 2 pointer, we dominated midfield tge last 7 or 8 mins. How did that turn around. Murdock was rising for everything those last few mins.
Some amount of work to  e done for whoever they pay next Sunday. Donegal would.have a field day with that midfield. Fermanagh must have cut off the short kickouts burns was doing 1st half.
The black card swung the game back to them when Down looked like pulling away.
Burns made some super saves.  Fermanagh kept big pat quiet.
They will be sick they lost that.
Buzzing after that.

Donegal are a very different team since we met them 2 years ago and now with Jimmy's Influence look a very formidable outfit. It looks like on current form that we could take a big beating at the weekend. I hope not....

snoopdog

No one travelling to Clones expects a win. I'm going hoping we can compete similar to what monaghan did. We can't be as bad as we were for most of the 2nd half last Saturday. If we are we will have another humiliating day in Clones.
Hoping for a good performance and then on to the group stages.

Truth hurts

The county boards need to cancel all games on Sunday so we can get a big crowd in Clones. The support in Brewster was pitiful.

What games are on this Sunday?

Ed Hardy

I noticed the extended panel was named in the programme on Sunday, seen Owen McCabe and Ruairi O Hare both in it, any word on their fitness? Would be two decent additions to the subs bench, especially with our lack off size and ability to win kick outs.

ardtole

Someone mentioned Liam Kerr is back playing with Burren, no idea if it's true or not. But there is a man I'd love to see involved on Sunday.

What games are on this Sunday?

U12s and some Reserve games.. U12s would be better playing their matches and learning how to play football than being dragged to Clones

Paddy power have us at 9/1 to win this weekend, Donegal 1/14. The handicap is 8 points.

Wonder what the biggest odds a Down team have been in the Ulster championship, can't be too many times we've been such big underdogs

He has been about Burren this good while, no interest in playing with Down according to rumour.
