It's the hope that kills you in the end.

Hope can drive a man insane.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

I can almost smell the championship its that close. Despite what is really going on in Meath football and as much as I can try stone cold analysis of our prospects the glimmer of light is still there that we can pull something big out of the bag.

Really looking forward to walking up Jones Rd (or to Pearse Park) with hope in the heart, a spring in the step, a little butterfly in the belly.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

19th summer of pain on the way. But come June 2nd I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world than in Celtic park to roar on Down.  For me its what summer is all about.

Always tried to get this in the old Burmah badges in the 70s.

A mere novice.

I remember my first Longford championship match was about 1972 so I am entering my 41st summer of pain.

But, as pointed out already, if the hope goes, what's left?

So a 12 month break means renewed hope for the likes of leitrim, tipperary and meath.

Renewed hope amd 12 months are a pile.of balls.

As SS points out, if you don't have hope then it's all over. Put us down.
