Why don't they send the runner-up? What's the problem with that?

Aaron Boone

And why didn't they pull out weeks ago?

Probably because they thought a passenger named 'Sam Maguire' would have been on board.

AFAIK, all of  the Mayo team would not be eligible to play in any event. Only those who had been on the panel for the FBD competition could play against New York.

Send in the Rossies. Donie's went the wrong way and ended up in Oz. Typical.

Throw the Curry and Frenchpark lads a few Mayo jersies, we all know how much they want to wear the Green over the Red.

Mayo face being thrown out of the FBD league next year, http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-football/mayo-face-expulsion-from-fbd-league-after-failure-to-contest-new-york-final-3248603.html

If they are, then i think they should pull all their players from other competing teams, and use the month for training for the league.
mayo for sam-don't ask me what year! :-)

About a zero chance of Mayo being expelled.

So this is how it works now in Connacht GAA? A county/club refuses to fulfil a fixture and there is no penalty. Are we now to expect this regime to be applied consistently across all levels of GAA administration in the usual rigorous and comprehensive manner? And, if so, what's to stop Meath Co. Board refusing to travel to Croke Park to play Dublin once again on their home patch in next year's Leinster Championship?

Where else would Meath like to play them seen as they have a shit hole of a stadium that only caters for a couple of hundred?

It's a final. Brolly got them banned from finals so they don't have to go.
