I didn't think the refs penalty decision would be seriously questioned never mind overturned ....brownie points for VAR

A penalty overturned?

screenexile

Lookman was fouled with more contact than the Eze incident but stayed on his feet so it wasn't given and wasn't looked at by VAR!!

Keown is an awful dose 🙄

I thought the Arsenal penalty for the foul on Eze would stand when VAR reviewed it. I thought it was a certain penalty.

Amazing call in real time, how it was overturned in VAR is a shambles. Can only suspect it's because Eze's touch was a bit heavy.

Arsenal first penalty nailed on, how can you turn and go towards goal with a 6 foot defender literally up your back.

Equalizing penalty, certainly a handball, but no doubting it deflected off his knee in order to hit it.

Arsenal can certainly feel hard done by not to be out of there with a 2-0 lead, whether you like them or not.

The commentator on CBS had a bias worse than ScreenExile!

Eze dived for it. What was he doing wrapping his left leg around the defender for?

Everything after the foul is not relevant.

Not every contact is a foul especially when it's on his big toe. It was a dive.

Whether you think it was a foul or not it can't be overturned by VAR as not clear and obvious. Simeone put a lot of pressure on officials throughout and worked. The handball tonight and last night were a disgrace. To get an almost guaranteed goal for a ball deflecting up and hitting your arm in a low scoring sport is wrong.

Arsenal would not have deserved a 2 goal lead...regardless of pen decisions (and you still gotta score them) Atletico had the better chances over all.

All to play for in the second leg.

7 more shots on goal tonight than last night.

Did not say it would have been deserved. But they can feel a little hard done by.

I don't think any Arsenal fan would feel hard done by not being 2 up...but then these Arsenal fans are a different breed
