Who would have thought 10 years ago that Tyrone would be the team of the past decade. Given our depth of talent and now a decent management setup it's not far fetched to think we will win 3 or 4 AIs over the next 7 or 8 years.
Two years ago Mayo had All Ireland winning manager and the panel they had then wasn't a lot different. Tyrone became good at senior level because they won many under aged All Ireland titles while Mayo won just one.

Kerry were average enough at U21 in the 90s
Now your trying to compare Mayo with Kerry? Kerry won four U21 titles in the 90s.

I fully expect mayo to win 4 or 5 all Irelands before 2020. They may even win a hurling all Ireland too.

Mick is too good to be true.
He has to be a Galway man.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

There is a pattern to this.

Win FBD = World beaters
Win an NFL game = Solar System beaters
Lose an NFL game = Sack the manager we won't get past Leitrim
Win the NFL = take September and October off
Get relegated = Emigrate

Seen as we're stuck on 3 for the past 60+ years I'd gladly take 2 more this decade!

If Mayowestros can't be a great team it's hard to see Mayo (without Ballaghadereen) being team of the decade.

Indeed it will be very hard to see Mayo without Ballaghdereen, seeing as they don't play without them.

When GAA history of current decade is written yesterday's result will be seen as a major turning point. A changing of the guard in some ways.

If Cork turn you over in the League Final Mick, would that be seen in retrospect to have been the major turning of a major turning point?  ;)

.   Maybe but I expect after league final a lot of people will see what I see now.

Mayo done well to beat Kerry yesterday, honestly , I would have been happy with a loss of a few points as long as mayo were competing for the whole game no matter what. Kerry will have forgotten it all by lunchtime today.

The fear of facing the Thriller a third time must have got to him.
