A great result. Congrats to all involved. Who coaches the ladies team?

Easter Sunday at 4pm for the next round of club league fixtures? What would the rationale be there then?  :o  >:(  ???  ::)

Parade is early doors so all good.. Sports are played played on Mothers day, Fathers day, birthdays and what better way to enjoy the Easter Celebrations of Irish culture than to play our national sport on that historic day..

That said, teams can and have rearranged games between them and they are going ahead earlier

What is everyone's opinion on our development squads?  Just looking at that camogie result today and our recent gaa and lgfa squads. For every decent set up there seems to be a mess elsewhere.  How can we get a proper set up for all codes at all age groups?

Hard to say they've been of any use to Antrim given they're in the basement of Football and hurlings getting progressively worse

Hear me out on this.

Development squads in Antrim meet once a week, 1hr and a half. Dubs etc are 3 times a week.

If we continue to skirt about and blame the development squads, we will never correct the real problem.

Club coaching isnt good enough.

Development squad outputs are largely a symptom rather than a cause. Quality coaching, culture of improvement, appropriate facilities and quality officiating all at club level the pillars for development.

I've watched 2 club games this week which had more in common with a rugby match than gaelic football as it's played elsewhere so a long way to go.

For the county to get where it needs to go, I wouldn't start from here.

Separately has Mick Byrne opted out of the county panel, a big miss if so.

I saw a league game earlier today was a grand game for the start of April. Casements came from 8 down against Cargin to grab both points.

Both sides missing a few main men but plenty of intensity from both clubs who definitely didnt want to lose, league game or not.

St Galls beat St Brigids by three, motoring well...still see them as a dark horse.

EOC1923

Good game played with a fair intensity and a couple of great prospects on both teams at just 17/18 years old. Portglenone had their own Michael Murphy type figure in midfield, must of got away with double figure, let's say on the edge tackles and to not even be booked was pretty strange to say the least.
You take the rough with the smooth however and If we'd a man getting away with the same I'd not mind so not going to be a hypocrite. Should be a very open championship it looks like.

Surely that's a joke ? If true shows how little it means playing for Antrim to them.
