Think the last Dunloy man on antrim team was Kevin McQuillan? Long time ago.

Also is there any dates or talk about the club leagues?

They also finished 4th i think two seasons ago so obviously something there. Could of also picked out Glenravel as a side i have a high regard for to if that sounds better.

Whitehill must have done a number on your club if there in your bad books.

Just an opinion at the end of the day

Yes two decent moral victories vs two of the best teams in Antrim. They also lost to St Johns and had to go into the playoffs. League means nothing. Ballymena in a final and finished 0 points in a championship group

And Baker still filling the pockets 😃😃

If people are silly enough to part with hard raised money....Baker is the smart one

No score yet 24 mins into the 2nd half. Hopefully we get 1

Derry operating at a different pace.

Am I missing something? They won 1 league game, no championship games and won 1 relegation playoff.

Nobody standing out on the up or downside, couple of players had workmanlike games.

Score line but not result flattered Derry a bit, performance probably expected given the nature of the Antrim selection.

Ponderous enough.

Was it not a decent enough Antrim team out? Who missing?

Despite a very flat and disappointing second half I liked what I saw for 35/40 minutes.

Missing 3 easy enough chances at the start of the second half was our undoing, put a couple of those over and the game would nit have got away from us as easily as it did.

McKenna cup not important, Carlow in a few weeks is the focus in our own grade.

V poor second half. Derry simply were alot fitter and were running us into the ground the last 15 mins. Also the quality of their subs was significantly better than what we were bringing on. We know they have better ballers, but if your not able to run and tackle the rest is more difficult. That's what i found disappointing. When does the league start as we need another 3/4 weeks to up the fitness to have any chance.

Spike

last 15 mins they looked like they lost a bit of belief once they had kicked 3 or 4 wides and Derry started converting.  Up to then there was a lot to like and were still in the game.  Not much to like in the last 15

Some good and some bad last night. We looked okay physically and in the first half were tracking runners well, second half that stopped. Thought Shivers looked sharp in the first half. Tomás has been a great servant to the county but his time has come and gone, he's going backwards and we should be using his spot to blood youngsters.

There was more to it than just winning one game.

4 draws, 3 of which should have been wins and lost 2 games to last kick of the game scores.

Naivety played its part due to a relatively young panel and that cost a few points in the above games.

Not saying they were great by any means but a bit of luck and the league position wouldn't have looked as harsh.

They've had a grueling pre season heavy heavy load. Looked tired in the second half i'd say after Sundays game they'll taper down the training and be ready for carlow in corrigan. Great price to get promoted back to div 3 with Derry back to div 1,

If they can back up a strong first half on top of a few additions into the team they'll be hard stopped in the league.

Be interesting to see the rotation going into Sundays game vs Donegal.

Another massive point i noticed last night is no shock either but the physical make up of the Derry side. Just took Laughlin Murray for example, not long out of the underage set up in Derry, and the man is built like a machine has incredible pace and change of direction. A defenders nightmare and caused Antrim serious problems in the 1st half.

Definitely something that the s&c can pick up on across the whole county. I understand it is being worked on with great s&c coaches involved this year within the senior set up but the younger teams such as; 20's,Minor,16s etc need to be educated in this field to. Can make a massive difference.
