Quote from: AllStar15 on June 23, 2025, 11:39:52 AMIf Aghagallon and St.Johns win I think that puts Pauls in to the bottom 4 on score difference. (three on the same points means no H2H)

surely score difference doesn't apply after aghohill didn't field?

Doesn't concern them, they are in the bottom 4 regardless.

YoungSaff

Is their still fines for not fielding out of curiosity ?

We got hit with a few of these a few years back wondering will Ahoghill get hit with any

The hierarchy seem happy enough to get relegated rather than sacking Pete McGrath and his backroom team.

Who is in his backroom team?
In the past he has always had his nephew Pete Jnr in tow

Pete Junior seems to be charge.
Your man Spug from Lurgan is the lack of fitness coach.
The goalkeepers coach, I'm not sure who he is, could be some boy from Co Down, yet to see any goalkeeping improvement tho.
Never seen junior's name attached to much success over the years ...is this his first rodeo ?

No he's been following Pete about for years hence his nickname'the tail'!
Nice lad but looped!

I know Pete well and i can assure you Pete McGrath, a man of integrity is trying his best with that group, though there are various factors to why they arent performing as well as they should. But make no mistake, they will be in the mix come championship. I see them, Dunloy and All Saints being capable of taking a scalp. then the top 4 of Cargin, Creggan, Brigids and Casements. I dont think the chamionships a foregone conclusion as some may see it. Hopefully an exciting one this year as last years panned out.

Read match reports on Saffron Gael, a number of teams looking fairly depleted this stage of the league. St.Galls and Cargin in particular. Witnessed the All Saints and Glenravel game, score line probably flattered All Saints who deserved the vicotory. But i thought both teams played some good football. Didnt recognise the Glenravel management team. Anyone any idea who it is thats over them?

Depleted teams in the Saffron Gael indeed, none more so than poor Portglenone. 'with their preseason target of 5th place attained and over a dozen players off to Gooch Kelly (whoever that is) stag weekend in Albufeira they managed to beat Tir N Nog'
I have read some tripe in my time but that takes the biscuit. The Saffron Gael is unfortunately becoming a bit of a joke and the Portglenone players and management insecurity obviously runs deep, no shock there lol

Caesar

I don't think its Portglenone's insecurities you need to worry about EOC. You can hardly get through a post without bringing them up!

Are you genuinely obsessed with them or is it an attempt to get a rise out of Bannside? Some of the other Cargin posters are the same.

Cnoc Bán

To be fair, he is right about that Saffron Gael report.

It is disappointing that those in charge didn't edit that wording at the start, as it is just embarrassing and reflects badly on a highly respected  publication.

I would say even most PG1 people would be embarrassed by reading it.

Yes Cnoc Ban that is the point I am making

I gave my genuine opinion on them after watching them last Wednesday night, thats as far as my obsession has went Caesar

Read that report also... i thought the report was pretty poor in all fairness. Although a stag and a manager away, portglenone still seem to have their key players out. And im sure whitehill would have been missing men also.

Their is a band of Cargin trrops on here like to bash other clubs quite frequently and seems to be Casements turn this week.   ;D

Perhaps that level of siege mentality is key to their success. Hate the worlds

Nil,

March 2024 you joined this forum, your first 8 posts referred to Casements. Obsessed you say? Hate the worlds you say?  ;D

Edit - I should perhaps have referred to them as Bannsides 'Carefree Casements' lol

Níl a fhios agam

Theres certain things casements do that i dont agree with that im allowed to comment on, as everyone is. But there seems a bit of spite between Cargin and them on here and in general which i never knew existed. Wouldnt really be historic rivalry there would there? So assuming something has caused that friction that us outsiders may be oblivious too. Havnt seen many of their games outside of the county final so please enlighten us

paddyjohn

Could be an agenda there within the match reports.

bannside

I've never heard of any acrimony that exists between the clubs or the players. Genuinely cannot recall a flare up of any kind between them either, at any time.
Dosent mean you wouldn't love to beat them, but that's a back handed compliment to Cargin because of their superiority over a long period of time.

Will it happen in 2025, lol..

Take the Mark

Indeed Bannside. No friction here.

Apart from biased match reports  ;D

But you may have had to live with those for quite some time yourselves!
