Nominees for 2011 GAA GPA All-Star Footballer of the Year -
1. Alan Brogan (Dublin)
2. Darran O'Sullivan (Kerry)
3. Stephen Cluxton (Dublin)

Nominees for 2011 GAA GPA All-Star Young Footballer of the Year -
1. Cillian O'Connor (Mayo)
2. James McCarthy (Dublin)
3. Mark McHugh (Donegal)

I see Karl Lacey has won the GaaBoard footballer of the year!

But I am wondering who do posters think will win the GAA-GPA footballer, and young footballer of the year? For me its between Brogan and Cluxton as I cant see a Kerry player in line for it if Dublin won the All-Ireland but I think Brogan will get it. Cillian O Connor is the only young player in his category to be nominated for an All-Star so is he a shoe in?

Mark McHugh never used his foot all year  :)
Young handpasser of the year maybe.
Cluxton will win it.

Its a shame that Lacey and Harte are not nominated.

Cluxton? Nearly everyone I speak to says that Alan Brogan has a better chance. If Cluxton kept a clean sheet in the final he would have it but the feeling is that Brogan will shade it.

Eh??

He had one decent game all year and also had a complete shocker against Donegal! He will come good but definitely doesn't deserve a shout this year!

Betting:

2/7 Brogan
7/2 O'Sullivan
13/2 Cluxton

YPOTY:

2/5 O'Connor

For some reason there is this myth he had a shocker against Donegal - he actually played well but missed a few 45s.  He was brilliant against Roscommon, Armagh and Longford and was arguably man of the match in these games.

Peter Harte was good but wasn't brilliant v us all his scores came from frees while he scored 7 from play v Longford.

They seem to have taken both markets down at the minute but I would say if you emailed them asking for a bet on it they would accomodate ya.
