Hope Chelsea go on and win it now. Great performance on Tuesday night, rode their luck a bit, but they took their chances, where as Barca did not.

Spainish league the best in Eur,ope? Meh!

The standard in the Spanish league is slipping, no teams in the Champions League final.

Hard to say, but probably still is the best. It's not france, nor italy, and certainly not england. Some experts have been saying the last few years the bundesliga is very strong, in terms of the football watched and the record number of crowds etc. Europa league with 3 spanish semi finalists shows good strengh in depth for la liga. I know there were 3 portugal teams in it last year but they were the big 3 teams in portugal, so that's different.

One thing is for the sure, the top 3 teams in europe are (in any order u want):

Real Madrid
Bayern Munich
Barcelona

Milan and the EPL sides are a bit behind. I've already said my feelings on chelsea, though i'm sure even IF they wil the CL they can hardly be branded a top side if they only finish 5th in the EPL

The Spanish league is still easily the best. As you say, 2 of the top 3 are Spanish, plus their 3 in the Europa League shows the strength in depth.

Their 6th best team gave the Premierships 'elite' a thumping! 

Again, don't see the big focus on Bilbao beating United.  As mentioned before, temas from the bottom of the Premier League or any league can and do beat the top teams, that is the nature of football.  Teams from divisions below the top leagues in Europe even beat the top sides some times too.  Plus, the 6th best team in the Premiership knocked out the Spanish Leagues 'elite'.

My point exactly. The amount of Manc fans on Facebook who revelled in Chelsea's victory over Barca simply because they thought it lessened the sizeable void between them at the spanish 2.

No matter what way you spin it the EPL has had far from a vintage year.

I think it's obvious to anyone who has an idea about football the manner of the 2 defeats were completely different. Chelsea, fair play to them had a defensive strategy that worked. But if that tie was played another 20 times it wouldn't. United on the other hand wouldn''t be beating Bilbao if the game was still going on.

I'm not sure why United fans over here have become fans of the great English Premiership. I fully expect to see a lot of English shirts in the summer.

In all seriousness all this 'the best league in Eupope' debate is a pile of sh1t. It is impossible to prove who is the best. The leagues do not play each other so who will ever know. At present we have a EPL team v a German League team in the final but most will argue the Spainish league is best so not that easy to come to a solid conclusion. There is no doubt the PL has slipped as a few years ago the semis had 3 PL teams involved. I still think it is very strong but the best? No I don't think so but it is all a matter of opinion as nothing can be proven as fact.
