Pitch looking well has the makings of a good game shame about the poor turn out

The games on tv, and with the admission prices these days, what does the gaa honestly expect?

Not sure how much admission price are up north these days but it's 20/30 euro down south which is about the same for a round of drinks if you were to head out tonight & can't compare been there to watching it on TV

I'm backing Kildare to come through.

not the greatest game in the world.  I'm hoping it will kick into life in the next few minutes when both team finally realise this is the last chance saloon.  The wind seems to be having a big impact on the game.

Slightly off topic, does Kevin McStay do anyone elses head in???

Both teams seems to have played better against the wind. Derry very poor in 2nd half. Near a strange own goal there for Derry and Kildare went up and got a point.

Marty Duffy his usual self today. Are there any decent referees out there?

Derry have been rotten in this second half.  Why did they take Muldoon from mid field to full forward then decide not to kick to him.  He was doing well in the middle first half.

Tony Davis: "I honestly don't think he was in the square".
He was 3 foot outside the square!
Just say it FFS!
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Derry are shocking.

Cassidy put on Patsy Bradle at half time and took off Charlie Kielt.

According to Tony Davis, they've taken off Bradley and put on Kielt again ?.

Legenderry indeed.

How many put a few pound on a 20-13 final score?

Game over barring Kildare deciding to leave the field 8 minutes early.

Joe Brolly wrote an article yesterday in Gaelic Life about the Tyrone team and their intelligence on the field to change/alter their game plan and/or set-up to combat problems or weakness on the field as they saw them happening - with that point in mind how in the name of jaysus could Derry keep kicking the ball out around the middle of the field since the second half started....  they couldn't get a bloody hand on the ball never mind a clean catch.   Surely a couple of short kickouts to wing backs would guarantee possession as well as keeping Kildare on their toes fro subsquent kick outs.

Marty Duffy is also a clown by the way

Absolutely shocking from Derry.

Not sure what Cassidy was doing with the changes. Surely with the wind they have players capable of scoring from far out like Kielt, Muldoon, Lynch, Bradley.

Kildare really have upped it in the 2nd half and full value for the win, but Derry's poor play also has a part to play.
